Giggles
I opened the front door of Edward’s house, not sure where he was.“Edward?” I screamed, knowing full well that if he knew I was here he would already have scooped me into his arms and kissed me on the cheek. That’s when I heard stifled male giggling. I turned towards the strange sound to see Emmett crouched under Edward’s piano. It was definitely a tight fit.
“Emmett?” I asked, taking a step towards him.
“Shh, Bella! She’ll hear you.” He whispered sharply before becoming completely still and holding his breath.
That’s when I heard a very high pitched scream quickly followed by a series of curses and then, “Emmett, you’re in BIG trouble now!” It was obviously Rosalie and from the sounds of it Emmett had done something really bad. I saw a tiny blur rush past me and could make out a distinct fit of giggling being stifled as I realized it was Alice.
“Emmett, what-” I was quickly silenced by the looming figure that stood before me with sticky, matted hair wearing only a towel.
“Where is he, Bella?” She questioned, glaring at me with pure black eyes.
“Who?” I asked innocently.
“YOU KNOW DAMN WELL ‘WHO’! WHERE IS HE, IF YOU DON’T TELL ME NOW I’LL SNAP YOUR NECK ANDYOU’LL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY OR YOUR BELOVED EDWARD EVER AGAIN!” She screamed, putting her hands on her hips.
“You will not, Rosalie!” Came Edward’s voice from behind me before I felt his icy hand gently pull me behind him to safety.
Suddenly there was the din of piano keys being smashed down followed a crash and a silent curse as Emmett emerged from under the piano. He was still stifling a giggle as he looked innocently towards Rosalie. She was definitely not the girl to mess with.
“YOU!” She bellowed, stepping forward as Emmett continued to giggle under his breath.
“What’s wrong, Rosalie?” Emmett asked innocently, glancing around for support. At that very moment she grabbed Emmett by the ear and began to drag him upstairs which immediately silenced his giggles.
“Ow, Rose, your hurting me!” He exclaimed sarcastically. I could almost feel Edward roll his eyes at Emmett’s joke.
“Don’t try to funny, this is serious! What sick part of your brain rigged the shower to dump honey on my head?” Rosalie demanded, releasing his ear and returning her hands to her hips.
“Fine, I’m sorry I messed up your hair. I’ll never do it again.” Emmett said, hanging his head as if in shame but really only to hide the humongous grin on his face.
“Don’t think I can’t see you smiling. You look me in the eyes and keep a straight face, mister.” She said, putting a sticky manicured hand under his chin and forcing his head up. Sadly Emmett failed miserably and it was back to Emmett violating anything that would hold still long enough for him to catch or was too slow to outrun him.
