the place to spill my feelings
letter
i wrote this as home work for my earth span scince class

Dear Okashi,

As you know I’m on vacation staying at the Oasis hotel in Thailand. Some thing tragic has happen I’m gong to tell you about it now. I was walking to the pool. I looked up seeing a huge flock of birds fly in to the forest. A dog ran across the yard along with a fox that dashed though the grass. I freeze up for a moment watching the animals. My still thoughts jolted when I herd yelling from the beach. I struggle to see what every ones yelling about so I run down the street a little, to see if I could see what they where all worked up about. I looked part of what once was ocean was sand the water was gone, and fish swarmed on the beach sand. Every one was gathered around watching. I look out into the horizon on the water I could see a faint line that was raising quickly. I slowly back away loosen my balance tripping on a rock landing at the bottom of the hill. I hear a faint sound a giant wave approach the beach. People are running everywhere. I feel the ground shake from the pressure of the mighty wave. The wave quickly ignores the entire beach I hurt from the fall and my body filled with fear. I try to scurry up the hill. The wave roles then taking out almost anything in its path and carrying people, animals, and plants. It was gaining speed and heading for me so I clung tightly on to a tree on the side of the hill. I could hear the horrid screams of people and the sound of snapping lumber. I herd the chilling sound of the rushing wave and the gentle hum of the wave as the water rose around me. I feel a cold feeling as the water rises over my head. I hold my breath feeling the water pull away the soil. I feel a great pressure on my body. The water starts reseeding back pulling me hard. I hear a snapping sound as it pulls the bark off the tree I feel it glide against my skin cutting some of it. The water finely sinks below my chin. I look out into the water. You can see people cling to trees, floating wood, furniture, and dead bodies. I clench on to the tree feeling the water slowly lowing. I feel so weak as the water finely gets below my waist. The water finely gets low enough I can walk I walk up the hill waiting for the water to escape. I walk down the hill slowly trying to get my footing the hill was muddy like the ground. I look around buildings are torn a part only foundation and some piping stands. I walk along what once was a road. I see arms and dead bodies every were. I walk back to the Oasis I look around body after body lay in the pool. I think to my self that could have been me. I cough pulling out my scarf some how I keep a hold of. I choke at the smell of decomp. I look over to my room seeing if any thing survived I pick up a picture and a backpack. The room is destroyed the light fixtures are shattered and the beds in broke into hunks. I grab what I can salvage and run out. I see looters running around. I see a boy helping to pull people out of the rubbish I walk over and help. This friend is what I saw, herd, and felt from before the wave, during the wave and though the aftermath.
