ZOMG. BOWIE ON VENTURE BROS. I loved that episode like Mick loves eggs, BUT AT THE RIGHT TIME.
Apparently, this is the Altamont anniversary. Today is when the Stones hosted that concert. Now, it's only 40 years ago. The problem is that the Hell' Angel's bullied people and that Meredith Hunter was murdered. Now, I have learned this just a while ago.
Seemingly Meredith was planning on killing Mick. I'm like, "WHAT. SINCE WHEN WAS THIS DISCOVERED?" So, there is more than meets the eye. So, now I need to find out more. But they may have saved his life, to only try to murder him 6 years down the road because of his lack of support, still doesn't excuse bullying people in the crowd and beating up musicians that were there. Now, they don't need to be doing that. My question is that why would he have a gun in the first place? Don't pull it out on them because they are not known for backing down. So, now I have so many more unanswered questions.
If you watch the video footage, you can hear Keith very upset about what's going on in the crowd. Then they threaten not to play if they can't settle down, but that is no excuse to threaten them at knife gunpoint. That might have been the scariest situation in Keith's life at that point. So, now I wonder what would have happened if Meredith did shoot someone. He was on Meth and some other drugs, but I wonder who would have been sot. Apparently, he had pointed it at the stage.
His girlfriend was raving on about Mick, so I think he just got very frustrated with it. He was out of his mind, so logic couldn't be used.
And just like I have been saying, Hell's Angel's were recommended by The Grateful Dead. So it's not purely the Stones' fault for that. Put some of them at fault. Freaking Jerry Garcia and the Dead's Manger's fault. If they hadn't have said something, then this could have played out better, or worse. With Mick getting shot.
Edit: I wonder about this. If Mick or Keith got injured or something by some odd thin, would people be saying "Why didn't the Hell's Angels do anything about it? They were there, so why didn't they have the common sense to stop them?"
Edit 2: I forgot to add this in, Mick got punched in the face almost immediately after he arrived by some crazed fan on drugs. So he probably went throughout the day with a face ache.
That's why I need a time machine.
I also think I'm developing another pairing. I was watching the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame DVD commercial and I see Mick and Bruce Springsteen performing "I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and I said "THAT. RIGHT THERE. I WANNA SEE IT" Meaning, I wanted to see Bruce/Mick. I wanted Bruce to top that a** so hard, that Mick won't even dream of singing that song for another 20 years. I now might have to write that out, likely because I won't see it anywhere and I won't be able to request it anywhere. So, it looks like I'm on my own.
Also, that means Jim Morrison's birthday is coming up. Unfortunately, that is when John Lennon's death is coming up. I love them both. I am so confused by that day. Like July 7, Ringo's birthday, and yet, Syd's death.
