Hours gone by *Chapter One*
Bang bang!
The echoes of gunshots spread throughout the city. The noise attracted the undead which meant more gunshots. It was silent for a while though, strangely. The moans of the undead were not heard and nor were their shuffling. What caused this? Oh yes. She was in town. The silent killer. Her skills were always impressive. Who was this woman? Hannah. Hannah Burnside. She killed all, and all feared her. Even her agency. The woman made her moves carefully, examining everything around her. Her speed was excellent and so was her intelligence. Nobody messed with her. Unless that person asked for death.
"Gruuhhhhh," the undead moaned. It's body gave off a horrible stench. Rotten flesh. Yuck. It made Hannah want to puke. Even though it has been over ten years this woman still hasn't gotten used to the stench. It was just disgusting. Anyone would puke. It could be smelt miles on down because of the amount of the undead. It was sad really. Several cities taken over by a virus her husband had made. Reminded her of her brother now. The virus injected into him, turning him into a mutated freak. Killing him...
Hannah snapped out of her trans, trying to focus on reality now. It was no time to mess around and think of good old time. Except, they were never good times. Hannah pushed back some her hair behind her ear, making seeing a bit easier. With gun in hand, she gripped on the handle tightly. There were more than just the undead here. She could feel it. Another experiment? Just like her? Maybe. There was always one of those. The person she hated most was that Aiixx woman. She and Hannah had a run in before....and nearly killed each other.
Bang bang!
Hannah flinched. Her body froze. Gunshots? Other than hers? Someone is here. But who? Hannah growled and turned her body facing the direction of the shots. "Well well," she muttered to herself. Hannah quickly placed her gun in it's holster and began a jog. If it was gunshots then it must be human. Or experiment. Maybe. But whoever it was can't kill her. Not simply. There were more gunshots now. It can't be Aiixx, she doesn't use a gun. Then who? Hannah stopped in her tracks, her heart speeding up. What if...?!
All the possibilities came rushing to her. Who it was, how it could be. What worried her most was if it was Sibiu. Or Dameyan as he changed his name. That was something she did not want. Not him. Please not him. Hannah closed her eyes, and walked out into the middle of the street. Nobody. Nothing. Not a sound. Her eyes opened, and there was nobody. Who then? Who? This question killed her. Although she realized how off guard she was now.
The woman quickly grabbed her pistol from its holster and waited. She waited for more sounds. There was nothing though, strangely. Maybe it was just her imagination? No, it was too real sounding. Suddenly, footsteps came close to her. "Willkommen, Hannah."
The voice, it didn't strike her as familiar. She turned around to see this persons face, only to see that it was male. He looked quite attractive. "Who are you?" Hannah asked this man. He knew her name. Not cool. "You don't know? I'm an experiment like you Hannah. We know all experiment names. You'd be Arachnia, ja?" he asked her calmly. Hannah seemed tense. Her senses told her to not trust him. But the smile he gave her was so reassuring.
"Yeah, I'm the 'Arachnia'. And I don't know you. Sorry." Hannah replied to him. She didn't know how many experiments were here but she wanted to know why she didn't know. She should be able to sense them. "And who or what are you anyway?"
The man smiled widely. "I am Till Kruspe. My code name is 'Flicker'." he said. Flicker? Must be some kind of lightening thing. "I evolved from what you call a "lightening bug" I guess." he said with a sigh. Mustn't be happy with his evolution.None of them really were. Especially the one they called "Unborn". Hannah had no idea what she was and did not know her real human name. It was sick what this company did to humans.
"Well, Till. What do you want? Someone like you coming into a city like this. It usually means something is wanted." Hannah spat. Till shrugged. "This ist true," he admitted. His accent was heavy. German was it? Hannah was good with ethnics. "I came here to ask something of you." Hannah raised a brow. "Oh really? I get requests all the time," she said with a smug face. Till frowned. "Not like that." Hannah laughed. "Right. I know that."
It was a bit awkward at that moment. Till cleared his throat. "Well, anyway, back to my request." he stuttered. Till looked down for a moment. Hannah frowned. "Well are you going to ask?" she said impatiently. What was his deal? "Hannah. I need you to help me with something quite personal. And it may have a sort of connection to you. In a way." he explained. Hannah frowned. "Connection to me? What kind? Does it deal with this stupid company?" she asked him.
Till kept his head lowered. "No no, not the company itself. But someone who works for it. Hannah, they're plotting an assassination. They want to kill you." he said with a sigh. Hannah let out a laugh. "An assassination? Really? That's all they have?" she said. Her eyes were emerald green, they glowed in the night sky. It frightened Till a little.
Till shot a look at her. "You don't understand. This isn't funny. You think you are all that, but check again woman you aren't." he let out a growl. Hannah backed up a little. The fury in his eyes kinda pushed her back. "Hey, I'm not happy about it myself. Who's planning the kill anyway?" she asked defensively. Till sighed. "Well you might know these names: Aiixx, Eric, and Dameyan."
Hannah's eyes widened. Dameyan. Aiixx wasn't a surprise, neither Dameyan. It just made her shiver. The thought about those two made Hannah want to puke. Eric? Who is that? "I know two of them." Hannah said scratching the back of her head. Till nodded. "He said you'd know all of them..." Till muttered. "What was that?" Hannah asked him. Till shook his head slightly. "Nothing. Well, my favor of you is that I need you to help me get rid of them."
Hannah smiled. "Oh? So, you want me to kill them?" Hannah grinned now. Till nodded again. "Yes. I have a grudge against them and I want them gone." he said to her. Hannah sighed. She was quiet. Thinking. Would it be a good idea to help out another experiment? One who personally came from "The Corporation"? Maybe. Maybe not. It was a way to get information.
After several moments of thinking, Hannah smiled. "Alright," she said. "I'll help you."
