Dream Journal
Poem: Everlasting Prison
There never was a thought in my mind,
that had lead me to believe in freedom while trapped in it's inescapable grasp.
Many a times i failed attempts to escape with the wind,
only to lie on the ground gasping and my body writhing.

I have always wanted to cling on to whatever shred of hope i had left,
but the unreal truth crashes in to destroy me.
Even an escape from reality cannot help me,
Death has ways of finding me whether it wants to or not.

As a child, I thought I would live forever,
Where nothing could break through my defenses.
Now that I look back on it,
I realize just how foolish my logic was.

Death, being merciful, watched over my child form.
He was waiting for me to slip at any moment.
He had hoped to take me then,
But feared that if he were to present himself I would stray.

Only now do I comprehend,
That I must pay back the life he spared all those years ago.
I accept the request without complaint,
Knowing I could not possibly atone for my many sins.

*note: i have no idea how this poem will end up, it's still a work in progress.xD
originally, i thought the idea was interesting, now if only i could remember wat the idea was...XDhm...somehow the stanzas seem to have no relation to each other. :/
