I spent New Year's Eve with my friend from college and one of her friends from high school - we talked about all manner of geeky things and played Trivial Pursuit (which I am awful with, unless it's from a book I've read). Jolly good fun. We were really worried for a while because her dog (who is beautiful but big and strong) learned to jump the back fence, and she went missing. Fortunately she was found, so she has now "graduated" to being chained whenever she is outside. Her dad took us out for bagels and drinks at Panera this morning, and I hung around her house before returning due to snow. She was going to come with me, but she has a cold or something. As does my sister. I hope I don't get sick.

And tonight my sister decided that she wanted to watch some Firefly, which I was all for. I adore that series. We watched the whole first disc.
