I finally finished rereading Karen Armstrong's The Great Transformation. I'm not sure what my favorite of her books are, as I like all of them. But I love the cultural breadth in this one, as it covers Greece, the Near East, India, and China. Plus it has a lot of the great sages in it - Socrates, Confucius, the Buddha. Amazing how so many cultures nearly simultaneously (give or take a few hundred years) came up with their own version of the Golden Rule.
And now I'm back to rereading the first three of James A. Owen's Imaginarium Geographica series so that I can read the fourth one that I got for Christmas.
I applied for five different shelving jobs at CML yesterday. Heh. Soooo overqualified that it's not even funny.
It was raining and windy today. I tried to go for a walk, but I was unable to control my umbrella. And my winter boots are apparently not waterproof.
