Since it seems unlikely that I will get vision or dental insurance soon, I went ahead and visited the eye doctor and the dentist while I was home. Which is rather expensive without insurance. Especially since the eye doctor was over seventy dollars higher than was quoted to me over the telephone. I think it must have been one of those random tests they did, but they didn't tell me beforehand that it was going to cost extra. Sneaky. But that doctor is something of an old family friend, so...whatever. Between the two visits, I'm out almost $360. I could get new glasses, but fortunately I don't need them. Sheesh.
