It never rains but it pours...
Yesterday afternoon I got a phone call saying that the library I did my practicum at was looking for someone for a nineteen hour a week circulation position. I would have loved to have taken it, even though everyone at that library works part time and there are no benefits and no chances for advancement, just because I love that library so much, but I ALREADY HAVE A JOB. Ironically. If only it had been a week or two earlier, I would have jumped at the chance. And then this morning I get a phone call from the census people asking me if I was interested in a 4-8 week long job. I had to turn them down too, although that was much less difficult. It's ridiculous that I didn't hear from anyone for MONTHS, and in the span of a couple of weeks, I've gotten a few job offers. Jeez.
