We've all heard the saying, "So close, yet so far away," sometime in our lives.
When you apply it to everyday speech, it's hard to watch what you say and still mean what you intend, I've noticed.
Love can make people feel...well, lovely. Yet, its aftermath can make a person feel bitter loneliness.
Lovely. Lonely.
One letter can make or break us. As can one word, one misplaced sentence, one slight gesture... They can all make or break us somewhere down the line, purposeful or not.
An elementary teacher of mine used to tell her students, "If you're going to make a mistake, make it big." It's fnny to me how that, when one small detail is out of order, the world seems to go haywire; yet, when a huge mistake is made (not including those made out of dogpiles of tiny ones), no one seems to care, if even notice!
Seriously, does anyone else ever have this problem?
..Maybe I'm alone in this.
