Wishing Star
There’s a light
in the night sky
I see it shining bright.
I will wish upon a wishing star
Keep the candle burning bright
hope my dreams come true
and keep holding on to my light.
Open my arms
and spin around.
Feel the ocean breeze,
the warmth of the sun.
the sand sifting through my fingers.
Close my eyes
and lie upon a warm green meadow
Listen to the birds sing
listen to the trees whispering their endless stories.
This night
I close my eyes
and I’ll wish upon my wishing star
Hoping my dreams will come true.
It’s a wishing star
with the tail a trail of light.
A trail of hope blazing bright.
