Elizabeth is 15 years old, so she is going into her fifth year of wizarding school. But after living in Liverpool her entire life, her parents decided to move to London, and announced that she would be going to Hogwarts. Elizabeth was fairly excited about it, because she had heard that Hogwarts was a very interesting school. Her parents had contacted the school's headmaster as soon as they arrived in London. Elizabeth's parents were both pure-blood wizards, but not very well known, they kept to themselves mostly. The headmaster had told them that Elizabeth would be met by one of the school's teachers, and then privately sorted by the sorting hat, seeing as how she was coming to their school late in the year.
Elizabeth continued looking about until she noticed what she figured was the teacher she was supposed to meet. The teacher then came over and Elizabeth was told to leave her luggage here, and then follow. Doing as she was told, Elizabeth followed the teacher down many various hallways, until they reached a small room. "This is my office, you may have a seat." The teacher said, moving around to the back of her desk. "Now, I've been told that your name is Elizabeth Fleming, is that correct?" Elizabeth nodded then. "All right then, Elizabeth. You shall be sorted by our school's traditional Sorting Hat." The teacher continued, getting up from her desk and retrieving a tattered looking hat.
Placing the hat on Elizabeth's head, the teacher stepped back and waited patiently. Hmm....You're an interesting one.... A voice soon sounded in Elizabeth's head. All Elizabeth could do was wait, seeing as the hat was overly large on her and she was unable to see. Yes, where shall I put you? The voice continued. Hmm....Yes, I see now. You should be in SLYTHERIN! The hat proclaimed at last.
Having heard the last word, the teacher came over and took the Sorting Hat from atop Elizabeth's head. "All right then. Since you are now officially in Slytherin, you'll be staying in the Slytherin House, which is in the dungeons. Your things will be brought along ahead of you." The teacher said, sitting down behind her desk, after putting the hat away. Elizabeth squirmed in her seat, eager to be off. "I'm sure the other students will inform you of the school rules, and of other things you might possibly need to know." With this the teacher stood up once again. "I shall show you where the Slytherin House is, if you will kindly follow me." Elizabeth gladly jumped up from her chair and followed after the teacher again.

After walking down many hallways once more, Elizabeth and the teacher reached the main hall again. Elizabeth was even more excited than before and was trying to pay close attention to where they were going, with much difficulty. They turned down a dark, damp hallway off of the hall and continued walking. Elizabeth shivvered a little, but part of her liked the atomosphere this hallway gave off. Soon they reached a painting on the wall. It's occupent shouted out, "PASSWORD!" The teacher then replied calmly, "Dragon talon."
Dragon talon, remember that Elizabeth.... Elizabeth thought to herself. "Here you are then Ms. Fleming, the Slytherin Common Room. The girl's dormitories are that way, and the boy's are that way. Your things are already up in your dormitory." The teacher said pointing to two different staircases. "Thank you." Elizabeth mumbled as the teacher started to leave the common room. "Wow, I'm finally here...." Elizabeth whispered, smiling to herself as she looked around.

Checking her watch, Elizabeth noticed that it was already quite late. "Well, I better go check out the dormitories and go to bed...." She said starting toward the stairs to the girls' dormitories. Once she reached the top of the stairs, Elizabeth walked down the hallway until she reached a door that felt to her like the right one. Opening it up slowly and quietly, she saw her trunk sitting at the edge of one of the beds. I knew this one was the right one. She said with a smile. Closing the door quietly behind herself, Elizabeth tip-toed over to her bed. Sitting in a carrier on top of her bed, was Elizabeth's cat, Vagen. Vagen was a pure black cat, with the greenest eyes you had ever seen. Vagen meowed quietly, and Elizabeth rushed over to him. "Vagen!" She said in a loud whisper. "I'm so glad you got up here all right. Sorry baby, but you'll have to stay in your carrier for the night." Elizabeth continued, moving Vagen's carrier to the floor for a moment. Vagen meowed in indignation. "I'm sorry ok." Elizabeth replied while she pulled out her pajamas from her trunk. Changing quickly, Elizabeth soon slipped into her bed and pulled the curtains around it. She soon drifted off to sleep.

Elizabeth slept rather dreamlessly, for the first time in a long while. Most of the time Elizabeth was plagued with freakishly realistic nightmares, but she was lucky tonight. It could be the atmosphere in the school that caused this self-concious change. The school felt safe so she had no nightmares. Rolling over in her sleep, Elizabeth snored lightly and Vagen's eyes glittered from his carrier.
