...
Y'know, I look for a song and I want the studio version. When I look it up on Youtube, I want the song.
Not the stupid a** video's of people who think they're great doing lame, and crap a** versions of it. I don't want "[Insert band and song] cover by [insert some name] on [insert some instrument]". No. I want the original. Stop thinking you're hardcore because you can play a song on an instrument and you think the whole world needs to know about it so you put your video on Youtube. You're not doing anybody a favor, just posting some lame a** cover.
I would like the original of "Desperado" by The Eagles without coming across a few thousand video's of people thinking they can do covers of the song. That has seriously gotten on my nerves. I want the original song, not the dumbass people who think they can sing it or play it. Stop trying to be hardcore, because in the end, you only look like a stupid idiot.
I want some fiction. I'm very cranky about the non existent Stones stories, but I've been reading Who slash all day. Pete/Roger is the best pairing in all of it. I'm sorry to say that I don't like Keith/John. I don't find appeal and quite frankly, it kind of turns me off. I would like more Pete/Roger fics instead of the swarm of John/Keith. I just don't see it. So, I just want some Pete/Roger ones. Which is what I am searching for now. Hopefully nobody gripes at me for not liking that pairing.
In the Stones slash one, Keith/Mick is like the sacred platter of the pairings. I know that either Keith/Mick or Brian./Mick seems to be the most written about. There's more for Keith/Mick than most all pairings out there. Even in the first few years, there's more for them then John/Paul. Not to mention Brian had seduced Mick and Mick still resented it because he fell for it so easily. Mick likes to do the seducing, not him getting seduced.
I'm really considering in buying "Primitive Cool", Jagger's bio because of one review or a series of them. It said that the book wants you to believe that Mick is a closet gay and that he's had many male lovers. I said "YA DAMN RIGHT I'M GONNA BUY THIS. POSSIBLE MALE LOVERS THAT I MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT? THIS IS FOR MEEEEEE!!!"
Yes, I think I will get it. It reminds me of this forum on a Stones fan board where there was this HUGE angry argument that Mick was/wasn't gay/bisexual. Or that the Stones weren't a homosexual band. In fact, everyone was like "OMFG THE STONES AREN'T GAY. YOU'RE GAY." It was like that for a long time. Then it got shut down. I didn't get to read all of it. Like Jesus Christ, it was FUNNY. Oh, you guys can talk so openly about Keith's horrible drug problem, Brian's death, Bill's underage girl, Charlie's mid life crisis, but you can't talk about Mick's endless parade of bisexuality?
It's like when it's mentioned, suddenly people turn the question around into an argument that 'You're gay' or 'Obviously, you're very uncomfortable with your own sexuality.' Oh Jesus, they love to redirect it to the original poster. It's like, they are trying to vehemently avoid that question. Still, I laugh. So, this book is for ME.
Edit on June 8: My book came yesterday. YAY.
Currently listening to "Cry Baby Cry" by The Beatles.
