Of Watching them Go, and Summarizing Isn't Enough
Se'rox: Watching them Go
It was the worst thing, when another Nobody used a portal and left. Se'rox's senses always tingled, the hair on the back of her neck almost standing straight. It was incomplete, worse than hearing something in the air that never landed. And she kept expecting them to open the gorram portals right behind her just to mess with her.
She took a deep breath, knowing Xigbar and Xaldin were gone. She had heard Flan, heard the change in her voice, but was not sure what it meant. And had no time for it. Not now. Not anymore. And what Xaldin had said sent chills through her; snowy chills. 'I wonder what other traitors we would find...'
"I'm fine. Let's get Xangord back, now." Se'rox responded. For a supposedly emotionless being, Se'rox's voice had more than just a tone of concern in it, and the tough and careless statement rang falsely.

Rose: Sometimes Summarizing Isn't Enough
Rose was trying to finish the Healing on Annamarie without distraction. The girl was less together than she managed to portray.
That was, Rose was trying to ignore the fact that Broden had somehow managed to get down here, squashed incoming enemies with a thought, called Nogard his sister, knew this girl Annamarie who Rose was Healing, and then the girl started calling her Pixie and telling her not to be fresh with her. Rose's concentration with all that going on was slipping. She did a hasty finish (leaving knots of muscles only loosely grown back together, though all the organs were perfect, as was the outer skin), and then Rose stood and backed away.
Looking at n**- since no one had yet spared the previously writhing vampire a glance- and Rose was quick to turn on Broden.
"Exactly what part of 'stay on the ship' do you not understand?" she fumed. Her tone came out angry- she hadn't been able to maintain that facade of regal calm very long after all. "You could have been killed, or distracted us enough to get us killed. n** fared poorly enough, due to issues that she brought up concerning this Other Nogard's knowledge of her, and you expected to, what? Come riding in on your white horse, even on pain of certain death?! Like that would have helped anyone?!! Pff!"
Rose rounded and faced the pale girl that Broden seemed to know oh so well.
"And you. I don't even know your name. All I know is that our Nogard was stuffed down your shirt and you managed to get yourself impaled by the Other one. Half healed, you decide to play hero and undo almost all my Healing, and then have the audacity to tell me that I owe you for it? Missy, you couldn't possibly understand this, but let me tell you that I am a Queen, and could have you killed for your disrespect."
Turning back to Broden, her face red by now, she didn't let up. "If you so want to be helpful, why don't you go pick up the little upstart and carry her back to the ship. She can't walk in her condition because her muscles are all torn up inside. Will need a day or two to heal the rest of the way. I could have done more, if I hadn't been so rudely interrupted. Oh, and don't even start thinking that you rescued us from that rainbow that is now a pancake over there. Taran could have handled them easily, so it seems." Rose spared a glance for Taran then, letting him know that she wanted more answers from him soon, as well.
"Well, let's get out of here, now. Obviously, we're attracting too much attention, and I don't want to have to watch anyone else try to get themselves killed today, if at all possible."
With that Rose stalked over to Taran, took the messenger bag from him and pointed him to n**, and then used the communicator Taran had given her to contact the ship. One second later, Rose and ember-form-Nogard were back aboard the bridge of the Reliance.
