I was looking over various available iMacs available (for some reason) and I took a look at their top of line model. It's as follows:

So, out of sheer curiosity, I went to newegg.com and sorted through some of the best rated (not the cheapest) parts of equal specifications and threw it together on a wish list. My result?

(Keep in mind, this could be very optimized. I could easily knock 100 or so off of this by tweaking the hardware, and maybe another 200 by excluding the operating system, not to mention this final price includes tax, whereas the mac does not. Shipping would run about $10.00, using the cheapest shipping option)

Macs are overpriced as s**t. You save hundreds of dollars by picking a PC over a mac. You'll also be much more future proof as PCs are infinitely more upgradable then macs. Goddamn.
