Found out today that my mother has an advanced stage of pancreatic cancer. All of her other organs aren't functioning properly. Only thing keeping her alive right now is life support.
Doctors are saying her death is inevitable, and that sometime in the future we should take her off the life support and let her go peacefully. I'm not sure what to do. On one hand, I don't want my mother to sit in the ICU for months under sedation with a breathing tube down her throat until she finally goes, but on the other hand, I can't, in good conscience, take her off the sole thing that's keeping her alive.
Meh.
Well, sorry for attention-whoring. Just wanted to let those who read this know, and I wanted to get it off my chest. Or fingers. Whichever.
