Scott's Thinking Cap
Knick Knacks Of An Altered Universe.
OYAH. The Prologue. <3
Angel; the word alone has many meanings. One is the holy angel, which is self-explanatory. Another is a name you would give to a special someone, albeit the fact that it's ridiculously silly to call someone that. Another is a reanimated person who has godly powers.
In France back in 1787, An elderly farmer named Sébastien Laurent was plowing his fields, as part of his morning routine, when he saw something burst out of his pasture. It was something he had never seen before. He saw what we know as today; an angel.
He had only gotten a glimpse of it, but he remembered everything thing he saw. After the Angel had burrowed back into the depths of Earth, Sébastien went back to his makeshift house and wrote in his journal everything that he saw.
"While I hit the earth with my trusty old iron hoe, I looked at my animals grazing in the pasture, over 50 acres long. That's when I saw an angel, who had just came out of my land, almost like lava squirting out of a volcano. It was a woman, with wings on her back that were 10 meters long. When she beat them, my chickens learned how to fly at greater altitudes. She had an avant-garde dress, as dark as midnight, and waist-long hair that was as white as pearls and shined like the sun at dawn. A gorgeous woman, indeed, but her eyes were dark and soulless, and her skin was as gray as my old-cotton shirt. She didn't look like your average angel; she looked as if she were a demon... How, my good and mighty lord, can an angel look like a demon at the same time?"
That was his entry. It was long lost until his great-great-grandson, Mikhail Laurent, had discovered the journal while visiting the old ranch, translated it to German, and sold it to the presses in Munich during the mid-19th century. The story was an instant success, and Mikhail lead on to have a joyous life as a man who had found a magnificent story under his great-great grandfather's raggedy cot. It went on to become one of the most popular French myths of all time.
Until 1952, scientists took interest in the Angels and wanted to capture one for tests.
Biology Professors, Scientists, and Students from Oxford University at England spoke to great-great-great-great grandchildren of Sébastien Laurent and found the location of his old ranch. They went to present-day Nice, France and stayed put at the grounds for over 90 days when they found an angel. Since they had the necessary technology, they were able to prove that the 300 year old story was no myth.
The picture was of a young boy, no older than 12, who looked Amish. The people who saw him in person were actually able to speak to him. He spoke in an accent and explained to the English how he lived. They asked the boy if he would be willing to volunteer for testing. He immediately agreed. One of the Biology professors, Kenith McDown, sold the photo to newspapers worldwide, which caused plenty of controversy throughout the entire world.
Half of the world were made up of people who needed to see to belief and the other half was going crazy for the photo. But these two halves shared one thing in common; they went cuckoo. More people went to fields, abandoned houses, and empty lots in order to find an Angel. To everyone's satisfaction, 3 out of 5 people all over the world found an Angel.
