La la la ...
Page 1000
No more party for page 1000, sorry D:
Maybe we'll just do an end of summer one.

So before we approach page 1000, I want you to write as much as you want in one post about the charity in general.
Post it as a comment to this journal entry please, do not PM it.
Obviously the more thought you put in it, the better it will be.
Please be literate!

Only people who have posted in the last 50 pages starting on page 976 1000 are allowed to enter.
Two people will be picked who have the best description.
They will win 100k each!
Ends on Friday so it'll give everyone a chance to enter since I put this up a little late.
So hopefully we've reached page 1000 before then!

Thanks for supporting Garage! heart

I can't believe that I've been with the Garage charity long enough to see the birth of the second version and to have been with it for 1000 pages. No matter who comes in, it's always fun to welcome them and chat with them for as long as we possibly can.

From the awesome designs on the first page that you order just for the charity, to the amazing parties and contests you host, no other charity is quite as unique.

I still remember the Halloween contest from last year, typing up the short story for the contest hosted by Rain. And the unmodest nekkid man running through the charity giving out gifts from his underwear [that is, until he got put out of action by some kind of poisoning during one of his dumpster diving runs]. Ange, you even donated me a Black Neko Cosplay during one of your minigames when I had to log off suddenly, and you gave me an extra prize during the fishing contest because I "caught Memphis/Ange" with an RNG.

Our random chats in the thread are nothing short of hilarious [especially those about my hobo stick].

Your generosity and sweet personality keep the thread running. Everybody knows how silent it gets when you’re not online. xD

You keep the charity in the best shape, and it’s an awesome hangout even when there aren’t any contests or fun minigames going on. I’m a little sad that I haven’t been able to go on any quest thread raiding sprees yet, but I hope I’m here for the next one.

It’s easy to see why everybody loves the charity so much. It’s been here for me when I had any personal issues, when I was sad I instantly felt better talking to the amazing people in the charity, and there’s no other place like it in Gaia. <3

I somewhat remember what my first post in the charity was something like "Hi im Oreo but you can call me Devin" and for some strange reason i was really nervous.I was afraid that i was going to have a repeat of all of the other charity threads i had been too where you would post on time and then all the people around you would just ignore you, even when you try to start a conversation, your ignored.I could not have been farther than wrong when i started to talk to the people at the Garage, It was (And still is the best) Long story short,The Garage is the best charity...Ever...IN THE WORLD.

Garage is a charity that tickled my fancy, Its not for it is a charity itself
it is because the community inside the whole thread. *^*

I've been searchin' for a place where i can call my home, fortunately i found out about Garage, w/c is to be honest the first charity thread I've ever been in my whole gaian existence. A place where I can simply express myself without worrying much, or doin' drama stuffs or whatever forces of forum sites that blocks my way (hmmm?). Im actually flattered and glad to be a part of the Garage (even though Im not a super reg).

Hephephep. And also, the generosity and the hospitality inside the thread that makes my whole day (well, some actually sometimes im all alone in the thread keeping it alive through bumpin') c:.

t;dr = the Garage is pure EPIC and awesomeness blending all together overpowering all sorts of forces in a unique wayyyyy c:

this is your free biznatchy kaschieka! peace yo!

Hello there.
The first thing that caught my eye about this place was the first page graphics. (I suppose that's the point, but ... oh well.) Sweet and bright and just plain awesome in all aspects.
But that's not what's really great about this charity.
I haven't been in this charity long, (in fact, not long at all – a few days perhaps?) but I've enjoyed this charity more than any other that I've been in (it's the truth!). I've known quite a few charities in the past, and even run some, but the people in this charity really make it.
Many places I've been in are all bump and no chat, all monotonous with no thought.
And then I stumbled in here (literally – I mis-clicked something and it led here) and people were talking and chatting and having bucketloads of fun, and I thought, “Oh my GOSH this looks fun.”
And so I posted and talked, and got to know people, and having chats and happy corners and imaginary friends.
I like this charity because it's not just a charity. (Actually, I haven't even posted up a form for donations yet, so I haven't even gotten to the charity aspect of this place.) I like this charity because it's a community and a place for friendly people, like a corner cafe for people to just stroll in, sit down, and talk.
And here I am, getting to know the charity and the people inside, participating in a contest, and maybe (hopefully) sticking around for more good times, for a very long while.

I'm not 100% sure this is still open.
But it's Friday for 2 hours and 15 more minutes!
So I shall write.

I've been in a lot of charities because I think this forum has the sweetest people in it.
If you strike out the beggars, of course xD
But most of the charities are intimidating.
They have their own families already, and their own cliques.
Some of these places seem very unwilling to.. kinda take on new people.
To include them in the family.
And then you're sitting there, trying to make conversation, but being talked past.
And you give up after awhile and leave.

Garage is different.
It's on of the threads that I know if I pop in and say hi.. that I will for sure get a response and be able to have a conversation with some awesome people.
We are a family here, but we're a family open to new members.
An ever growing family!
And I do consider myself part of the family, since I always feel included.
And if I post something in this thread, people care about what I have to say.

And I love that, that's how charities should be.

Let's see, how to start.
Well, I remember that I was really starting to get into Gaia and was looking for some help in my quest for Demonic Style. (I think, it's a little fuzzy. XD)
Hahaha, I remember I kept posting how close I was to it. And even though I didn't get a donation right away there was something about this charity that made me want to stay.
So I did, and I couldn't be happier that I have.

I've found a place where I feel like I really fit in. Where there's people that help me and talk to me. People that are awesome and make me happy, that make Gaia a lot more worth while than it used to be.

Nobody here is mean or rude. You're all funny, sweet, and for that I love you all for different reasons. This charity has made me feel welcome and I'm glad I decided to try my luck here.
If I don't win, that's alright. Honestly, I think I just took the opportunity to express how I feel about this charity and the people that I really do consider a part of my family. ♥

I’m going to put a pause to all my other undertakings to finish comment.
Even if that means disappearing off the actual charity thread. >.<
I really owe it to everyone to write something here.
I’ve been putting off the task of writing this for the entire week.
I really couldn’t think of what to say because I didn’t know how to properly express my feelings for this charity.
So naturally, I put off the task like any regular procrastinator.

So to start...
Garage is pure win. <3
That’s all I really have to say, but I don’t suppose that is sufficient or helpful in any way, shape or form.

Soooo first off, congrats to the charity for reaching its 1000 page!
It’s really amazing to see something that I’ve posted in since four months ago to reach such a milestone.
It’s even cooler to be able to jump back to page two and find my Easter greetings to the thread.
And now, we’re on page 1072, meaning we’ve worked up 72+ pages in the past three days.
And everything in between has really been what made my days. 8D
Garage has become my Gaia niche.
I go there everyday.
Sometimes I post - oftentimes I'm just a lurker.
And somehow, even after that plus my sudden disappearances from the thread, I’m still warmly welcomed and treated kindly by the people in the thread when I come back.
There are people there that I’m really glad to have gotten a chance to meet.
I’m not giving names because I’m sure I’ll miss someone.
But I’m sure you all know who you are.
You guys are the people who have really made my internet experience worthwhile.

I can’t say there really is a way to fully describe emotions and feelings with something as concrete as words and numbers.
I could easily type something like “AWESOMEx10000000” or even multiply that by infinity.
But that would only take me about two seconds tops to type, which is not worth a smidge compared to Garage’s excellence.
So frankly, I don’t know what to say.
I just know that I really need to thank everyone for making Garage – and Gaia – such a wonderful place.
And I know that I’m going to be welcomed back at the thread once I’ve posted this. 8]
