Arnath's Journal
Chapter 14 - Boy
Arnath stood motionless, as if he were in complete shock. A shy young man looked out from behind a tree. Sifl, now having heightened awareness from his adrenaline, turned upon hearing the slightest of movement. The boy was tall and about the age of fifteen, muscular a bit and skinny. "Hello sir," he said. Arnath gave no immediate response. "Sir?"

"Who are you?" Sifl demanded, drawing his dagger defensively.

Arnath shook his head and composed himself. He finally said, "Oh...H-How can I help you?"

"Hmm..." he mumbled, looking him over. "...Nothing...just...to work together?...hmm?"

"In what way, may I ask?" Arnath asked curiously.

"What's your problem boy?" Sifl yelled. "Did you just see what happened?"

"Peace?" the boy said. "I didn't see. What happened?"

"Arnath?" Sifl asked.

"I...I don't know. Forget it." Arnath blinked and focused.

"My name is Naoe Nagi," the boy said. He suddonely decided to get close to Arnath and walked around him. His eyes glancing about showed a sign of interest, though Arnath was obviously not interested.

"That does make me feel a bit uncomfortable," Arnath stated.

Naoe smirked. "Oh come now..." He slid his left hand around to his abdomen and slid his other hand down his pants. Arnath quickly jumped back, taking a few steps away from the man. "Awe come on...have a little fun..."

Arnath began to look a bit angered. "I must ask, that you do not continue with such behavior." Naoe smirked again. "You wish for me to have fun?"

Nodding, Naoe responded "To have fun with me"

Arnath unsheathed his Diamond Edge sword holding it in his right hand, and pointing it in the mans direction. "I would find more fun in making sure you never touch me like that again."

Sifl stood shocked now himself, simply at this strange boy's behavior. After a moment, he too composed himself. "I'll agree with Arnath, that if you ever touch either one of us, your hands won't be around to touch again.

"Awe...I'm sorry," Naoe said. Arnath stood right arm outstretched, left arm to his side, gazing at him in a firm posture. "I wont do it again, I promise...but fun is fun."

"Fun is unnecessary." He sheathed his sword, plainly and simply. "And don't make it necessary for me to take out my blade again."

Naoe, showing his true intentions, said frustratingly "I need some kinda guy to be bi with." Arnath, wanting to play a little mind game, walked behind him slowly, sensually, placing his hands upon his waist from behind.

He whispered in his ear, "Lets get to know each other a little better."

Sifl's eyes widened. "What are you doing?!"

Naoes eyes widened as well, before he looked behind himself. "...H-helloum" An uneasy lump formed in his throat, as he nervously swallowed.

Arnath looked toward the sun as if to check the time. "Oh sorry, I have to leave." Naoes eyes remained widened. "Some other time?"

"S-sure...heh" Naoe said. He was clearly shocked by his actions. "Bye..."

Arnath walked off toward the market, as Sifl followed. "What the hell was that?!" Sifl demanded.

"I was just fooling with him," Arnath responded.

"That was disgusting!" Sifl's expression clearly showed that he was indeed disgusted.

Arnath winced a bit. "If he actually would have tried anything on me, I would have hurt him."

"I would have killed him if I weren't so surprised by your actions. What the hell was that?!"

Later that night, Arnath and Sifl had made camp. Overcome by exhaustion, Arnath fell right asleep. The calm hours went by throughout the silent darkness. As the next daylight eventually peered into the trees, Arnath awoke and stood up to stretch. To his surprise, the young boy hed met was sleeping on a tree branch a few yards away.

Arnath almost fell when he noticed the boy sleeping there. He now felt tired of dealing with the boys personality and didn't want to play with his mind anymore. He decided to be honest. "Kid," he yelled. "Wake up." The boy woke up abruptly. Startled, he fell out of the tree and landed below unhurt but with a loud thump. "Go to an inn."

Naoe blushed a bit as he stood up. "...I don't have the money." Arnath threw him a pouch of coins, a weight of about 100 coins. Naoe caught it blinking. "I can't take your charity," he said, throwing it back to him.

Arnath caught it, stating "Don't argue with me, boy." He threw him the money, once again.

Naoe now blushed brightly. he sadly said, "No one...no one wants me...I mean, yeah sure, I get all the girls...but I want a guy too, ya know?"

To Arnath, it seemed all Naoe wanted was attention, but in fact he just wanted to be loved. "Love doesnt always come to you easily. To anyone."

"...But...you...never mind..." He sank down to a sitting position and sighed. "There is someone...that I likea lot...but..."

"Sir Sifl?" Naoe blushed once again. "Sifl is an odd case. I never underestimate him." Sifl was still sleeping on the ground where he had laid down the previous night.

"...I know...but I like him...h-hey." Naoe in his stupididy, approached Arnath again.

Furious at the boy's advancement, Arnath's body glowed with a strange aura, making his external body temperature increase dramatically. Naoe blushing brightly spoke "...W-whats going on?" Arnaths body ignited on fire, also setting Naoe on fire. "GAH!" he screamed.

Arnath jumped up suddenly, and took a step back. "Ack! Put yourself out!" he yelled, now concerned for his well-being.

Naoe quickly dropped to the ground. He rolled around, putting the fire out. After a moment he laid on the ground, a bit tired. All that managed to escape him was a low, "...Ow..."

"Ya'ok?" Arnath asked.

"Not really..."

"That was not my fault, it was my bodys natural instinct, I guess." His aura faded as he spoke, leaving him unscorched. "I just felt threatened. Sorry if I hurt you."

Naoe winced, moaning in pain again. He tried to sit up but only hurt himself. Arnath kicked Sifl to wake him, though he jumped up and tackled Arnath in defense. Realizing who had kicked him, he screamed, "Don't ever do that again!" He looked over at Naoe. "Him again?"

Arnath stood up and brushed himself off. "Forget him, let's just go."

They picked up their belongings and left the boy lying there as he turned to his side. "...Come here. Please?" A cold breeze passed by as they left.
