Today I went to another welcome home type event for vets. Fortunately I wasn't an exhibitor at this one, so I was able to visit all the different tables and collect information about various programs and distribute my flyers and business cards to them in exchange. I really need to start focusing on my database at work. I've got a lot of pamphlets and flyers and business cards and whatnot piled up. D:

I also finally finished reading Alice K. Turner's The History of Hell, which turned out to be a fairly interesting read (although at times more in depth or less in depth than I would have liked, depending on the subject). I guess I've never really spent a lot of time thinking about Hell other than when I've had to read certain literary texts, but underworlds and afterlifes are an important aspect of most mythologies, and they're very interesting to study. It's also nudging me to look at my own "beliefs" on the subject, as vague and unspecific as they are. I think at the moment I favor an afterlife that involves an element of choice from the soul involved.
