The RSVP recognition event today (with the theme "volunteers are golden" wink was...special. I hadn't been involved in the planning for it really at all (in part because I think my boss probably doesn't like me), but I did what I could to help with the set up. Then I directed attending seniors to the correct door. Then I got to eat lunch with some rather interesting attendees. One of them was prone to being dramatic. She threw up in a napkin at the table, which was quite gross. She refused to go to the bathroom and instead asked for more napkins. And she was also not thrilled that there was a certain politician there to thank the volunteers who received awards. Or something. Anyway, there was some drama about that. Many people also complained that it was too long. I don't have any previous years to judge it by, but it seems to me like it went okay.

I got home about the same time as my sister, whose back was hurting so bad she was crying. We decided to take her to an urgent care facility, so I sat in the waiting room with her. However, the Tylonel she had taken earlier kicked in, and now she feels fine. Poor dear.
