Every sunset has a reason
Every sunset is different
Just like every morning
A new promise
Every night another end
And there’s so much more.
Those summer nights
You wish wouldn’t end
Laughing all day
Enjoying the long hours
Spending time with your loved ones
Treasuring the sunset the last hours of the day together
As you say your goodbyes until the next day…
The summer nights
That only brought you pain
Memories of your loved ones that have passed
Wishing you could spend just one more day with them
Staring into the sunset,
Letting time pass away
Knowing tomorrow’s another day.
Every sunset is different
Different meaning
Different colors
Different times
Everyday.
Early autumn comes
Leaves falling from every tree
Gently blowing in the wind.
The days are shorter
The sunset comes faster
But still beautiful colors
Painted in the sky
Bursting before your eye.
Looking back to those summer nights
That seemed so beautiful and so endless
Before the pain
Before the heartache
Before the tears
Seeing the sunset tonight
Reminds you that you’re loved
And you’re not alone on this autumn night.
Winter quickly approaches
Days fade to the night
Without a sunset in sight
The days are shorter
The nights are colder
But someone’s holding you
He’s holding you close tonight
And He won’t ever let you go.
Hope is rising
As spring arises
Flowers blooming
Things are growing
Treasuring another sunset tonight
The healing has come.
The seasons change
And the sunsets change
Pain comes and goes
Memories are there
But there is healing tonight.
Every sunset a reason
Some bring pain on the days you wish would never end
Some hope and healing
With new promises to hold on to
Knowing tomorrow’s a new start.
Every sunset a reason
Each one painted according to the day
Never late but never early.
To each sunset an appointed reason
To teach us to keep holding on
Or let go and eagerly away the new day
In anticipation and hope.
