Jun 16, 2010: I WANT A GAIA-SAMA, DAMMIT. I went to the San Mateo County Fair today. It has been a great many years since I went to a County Fair, and back when I last did I was very young and I couldn't really appreciate fine art or jewelry. I was shorter too, so I probably couldn't see that much anyhow, though I'm sure I was wigging out because there was so much to see and smell and hear.... This time, as a souvenir, I got a black scorpion in a tear drop resin, and strung on a necklace. I always loved this kind of bug, because of the symbolism in alot of cultures about them all over the world. But I also liked how when they reproduced that the male and the female "dance" and the mother carries her young on her back... The necklace has this weird colored backing because it glows in the dark... But I know that it miiight just be better without it, because if I went clubbing it would glow anyhow because all scorpions and members of the scorpion family glow under UV light.
