Every next thousand of experience points you gain, its is a new level. TAKE THE EXP POINTS FROM A BATTLE. DIVIDE YOUR LEVEL IN HALF, AND MULTIPLY BY 100. That totals your Experience points gained.
Example. A level 7 person defeats two opponents. One gives 200 exp. And the other gives 300. The player adds these, totaling 500 exp. Then the player divides his or her lvl by 2. 7 divided by 2 is 3.5. Then multiply that by 100, totals 350. Subtracting 350 by 500 means the level 7 player only gets 150 exp.
Follow this guide to leveling. (this does not include the class power you gain with levels)
Every time you level. (1,2,3,4…) Roll hit dice, add constitution modifier, and add total to heath points.
Every time you level your Base Attack increases by one.
Every 2nd level (2,4,6,8…) you gain one more skill.
Every 3rd level ( 3, 6, 9, 12…) you gain one feat.
Every 4th level (4,8,12,16…) you can add one ability point to your choosing.
This leveling rules might very with different class. Make sure to keep up with your power level list, or race benefits.
