We have accumulating snow going on right now. It's been sunny but cold the past few days, but now big fluffy flakes are falling. And it's almost April. Gah.
I'm down to my last check, so I decided to order new ones with my new address on it (still don't have a mailing address because I need to get a P.O. Box, which I haven't obtained yet because I live three hours away from said new apartment [and therefore the new Post Office where I'll be getting the P.O. Box at] and don't have anything official with my new address on it yet). But the lady at the bank couldn't figure out how to do it and told me to try doing it online. But it didn't work online. So I called the suggested telephone number. It was automated, of course. To speak to a person, I had to enter either my account number or SS number, which was fine. And then it asked for my "secret code." WTF is a secret code?!?!? It didn't explain. It just asked for my secret code in a really creepy voice, and there was no way I could talk to a real person without this mysterious secret code. I went through several different options before I finally reached a location that allowed me to create a secret code. Then I had to go back the original route to input my information again followed by my new secret code before I could talk to a person, who was confused about the variety of addresses (the fact that they have to mail the checks to my parents' house because I don't have a mailing address, etc.). It was a huge mess for 50 checks. So rawr. Moving's such a hassle. I'm looking forward to it, though.
