Finally stopped being lazy and did some chores today (taking out the trash, cleaning the toilet, doing the dishes). Not that I really ever dust or sweep, but it doesn't look like I need to do so yet, which is fine by me. Also drove to the post office to get my mail and got my first water bill. It was nice that water was covered in my rent in my previous apartment, but hopefully water and sewer won't be too expensive. I can't take very long showers anyway because there's a sad, sad lack of hot water. I also filled out a birthday card for Ebbs and Mother's Day cards for the females on my mom's side of the family and I think I have arranged to have my education award from VISTA sent to pay off some of my student loans. I think.
I get to go into work early to do a shift in the children's section before going up to circulation. Yay. It's very interesting to see some of the differences in opinion - the main children's librarian believes that YA should be grades 6-8, so they're going to have a "high school" teen section. Another librarian thinks she's being rather conservative in her selection and organization habits. I tend to agree with the latter, but I'm sure the former has a point. I just don't see why they can't do it like most libraries and just have a typical YA section, but eh. It would also be nice if they eventually had a graphic novel/manga section instead of shelving them within the YA or theoretical teen section...
