After working extra hours the past couple of days (which was fun...mostly split my time between circ and reference, where I did my best to gather up some "teen" non-fiction books), it was nice to enjoy a day out with my mom to celebrate her birthday. We went to German Village and visited The Book Loft, which is a labyrinth of a bookstore - 32 winding room! Their mythology section was sadly rather small, but I did pick up a couple of books on South American mythology and one on goddesses. It was mostly just fun to browse, but there was so much to look at. We then met my dad for dinner at a German restaurant (mmm, cremepuffs).
