Continuing on from the "Journal description", this is also a place where I will make random stuff, and a place where I will show off my "artsy-fartsy" side. :XP:
Senseless Hating 2: Another Kagome Hater
FOR THE KEH FILES: NO NEWS. THE KEH-FILES IS BEING CLOSED, SO THERE REALLY ISN'T ANY POINT GOING THERE TO SEE IF THERE IS A RESPONSE. THANKS.

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: Crystal Kay - Motherland (FMA OST)
MOOD: Tired and zonked. I really need to finish my super-long-a** homework and get my a** cracking for my essays. All I can say is that it's not going too well... :XP: And the Fruits Basket OST makes me want to hurl. Sorry to all of you who like it, but Fruits Basket drives me up the wall. It's just about... life. How fun can that be?

I just saw the stupidest things said regarding Kagome. My responses are in bold. I don't think I was being too harsh, except for the last paragraph. Because I was, I apologize for sounding incredibly mean. However, I have to say that the person who was writing this was not thinking properly. Getting annoyed over something that was intentionally done is, in my opinion, very stupid and childish.

That's where my problem with her originate from, she does not fight enough for me to give her credits for.
Quite unfortunately for you, I don't think you've picked it up yet. I believe the whole message Takahashi and Sunrise is trying to get across to the viewers/readers is that Kagome's powers does not come from physical fighting strength. it comes from emotional (aka) mental strength. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Kagome is a normal modern-day school girl.

Would you consider kicking youkai butt normal? No. I certainly wouldn't, especially since there are no such things as youkai to begin with. As Kanshou specifically said in his essay, Kagome is normal. Shooting powerful purity arrows does not fit the description of a normal school girl. Kagome even stresses it several times in the series herself.

Considering the fact that Kagome never trained her body to work with her powers, I think scaring the crap out of Naraku with her mediocre skills is a fairly good achievement. Anyway, that really isn't my point here. My point is this: Kagome's strengths do not come from her fighting abilities. She has fought off hypnotism so many times because she has a strong mind and heart. Not everyone is perfect.

Kagome's lack of knowledge of her powers is what bugs me about her. And quite frankly, if I was in the same situation as Kagome, and in the heat of battle my friends asked me to hide, I would make damn sure I do a good job of it. Where as the case with Kagome she always gets caught.
For your information, It's not that easy to hide from youkai. As Inuyasha explained (as well as Sango and many others), youkai have stronger senses than human. That means that their hearing qualities are ten times stronger as well as their sense of smell, sight and whatnot. Kagome could have hidden herself well, but some youkai can simply smell her out.

Furthermore, Kagome feels that it is unfair for her to go hiding while she watches all her other friends risk their lives to fight some huge-a** spider youkai or something. She wants to take place in the battles. Sometimes she does hide, but I don't think she'd want to hide behind the bushes and watch her lover get gutted out like a fish. I think it's very selfish of the person to sit around and watch out for their own hide instead of trying to help.

Also, knowing that because she carries the sacred jewel shards she attracts a large amount of unwanted attention and...well she gets kidnapped alot. But I've realized that she only fights AFTER she gets rescued from her kidnapper, never once did she fight off her captor by herself.
Yes. I agree that Kagome gets kidnapped an awful lot. Have you ever been kidnapped before? I haven't, but I've had a close cousin who has been kidnapped. When that happens, you generally lose all sense of logic, because your life could be on the line. My cousin told me that it's a terrifying moment that is so horrible that you wouldn't want to talk about it.

Trying to take the captors out yourself is a fairly stupid idea. Most of the time, the escapee's plan goes wrong and they could pretty much end up dead. Look at one of the plane crashes on 9/11. One of the planes crashed because the members on board took over. They may have gotten the terrorists off their backs, but they still ended up crashing into the WTC.

The smartest thing to do is sit tight and wait for someone to rescue you (if you are certain that someone is going to save you). In Kagome's case, she trusts Inuyasha and she has faith in him that he will save her.

Now, if she is able to take Naraku head-on and scare the crap out of him in the earlier episodes of the series, why was she not able to free herself from Kagura's grasp in her attempts to take control of kagome's heart?
If you hadn't noticed, Kagome did not have her bow and arrows with her. When she loses her weapons, she is pretty much defenseless. And as I've mentioned before, Kagome did not take kick boxing lessons, hence she cannot fight someone without a weapon. Furthermore, as soon as Kagome was kidnapped, Kagura held her back while Kanna forced her to hold Akago.

Kagura is youkai. I'm fairly, no, I'm VERY certain that Kagura has a lot more muscle strength than Kagome does. Again, Kagome is a far-range fighter rather than a close-range fighter. Oh, and BTW, when Kagome was kidnapped, she was in a depressive state. She knew that Inuyasha was out looking for Kikyou and felt that she could not be rescued.

In a sense, she became rather apathetic for a moment there. At the last minute, however, using the strength of her own heart, Kagome managed to close her mind before Akago could grasp onto the darkness of her soul. Though it isn't all that spectacular, Kagome technically managed to save herself.

By the way, even though Sango and Kikyou are kidnapped less, when they are, they too have to be rescued. When Sango was with the skinless youkai episode, she was pretty much defenseless, and had to be saved. The same thing went for Kikyou when Naraku kidnapped her. The only reason why she was able to walk away without getting her clay body torn up to pieces was because of Onigumo's heart.

Also in the encounter with Sarah, Sango and Miroku were turned into ice. They thought that the sea creature had done it, but failed to recognize the truth untill it was too late. That pissed me off yet again, because it was so obvious and she missed it.
First of all, it's a Japanese name, hence, it's NOT spelled "Sarah", but "Sara" because it is not pronounced "Ser-ah" but: "Sah-rah". Secondly, it is not canon. It's way off, Sesshoumaru was 100% OOC, and there are NO ties to the original series except for Sesshoumaru and his arm issues.

It may have been obvious to the viewer, because that's how most shows are, but it was not obvious to Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha, or Shippou. It has nothing to do with stupidity. They were all fooled. Just because you're tricked by someone doesn't make you stupid. Sesshoumaru and Kikyou (who are two characters that are considered highly intelligent) were tricked several times. But do people consider them stupid?

If your logic here made sense, then Kikyou MUST have been stupid because she was "dumb" enough to not trust Inuyasha and fall into Naraku's trap. Nuh-uh. That's not true at all. The same goes for Sesshoumaru. He was fooled by Naraku by accepting his arm. Had he not felt the pain in his arm, he probably would have been absorbed by Naraku's arm. That is also another reason why Sesshoumaru decided to go after the hanyou.

Sango was fooled too. In the very beginning of the series, she was so blinded by the fact that her family was killed by "Inuyasha" that she forgot all her senses and tried to gain revenge. When Naraku had a shard, she was fooled. But does that make her stupid? Again, no, it does not.

Getting pissed off because a character missed something that you caught isn't cool. The whole point of that scene was for the viewer to catch the trick before the characters in the story does. Becoming annoyed with that (sorry to say this, but it's my opinion) would be stupid.
