The Breathing Construct
Name: Sosem.

Age: Many, many years have gone by... but I've slept for most of them.

Gender: Golem with a humanoid frame. I lack a gender.

Race: I am a Golem-class Construct forged by ancients.

Appearance: Sosem stands at roughly 6'3, with a body made of an unknown metal. The artifact's head is reminiscent of a vulture, a long curved neck that leads to a thin, lizard looking chest complete with 'scales'. Across the chest though is a very noticable rib cage sticking out, emitting a faint glow that seems to tint the golem's entire body. It also has bone-like wings, though it is unable to fly or glide with them. It walks on 6 spider legs and has very human hands and arms. Impacts from previous battles collected minerals & debris as it was dormant in its mountain prison, causing sharp, wicked spike-like topazes coming out of its back.

Weapons: The main weapons of the golem Sosem is a mighty warhammer, though it is skilled with most other weapons. It is known to carry its hammer in one hand and a sword in the other, as well as simply strip the enemy dead of their weapons and use those.

Bio: When the Sair were losing their war against the rebelling races, and death tolls were high, they turned to their crafters and blacksmiths to forge artifical warriors. Sosem was created in secret, by two people and two people only... High Judge Salenen and Grave Watcher Sairin. It was implemented with both of their then ideologies as a sort of guideline, and given knowledge on how to wield most melee weapons. However, when they discovered that it was too late, they took Sosem to a mine shaft hidden in the mountains and buried him inside, after telling him that he will awaken only when there is a threat to "The Core", though the construct only faintly knew what it was.

It's prison in the mountain is a coffin with an iron collar around its neck as well as chains wrapping it entirely. Although the mountain and its tomb kept it safe from the physical touch of people and creatures, three things permeated into it's slumbering mind... All three of them having a twist or turn that changed how it would behave. The first it registered was of evil origins, the mind of the golem Sosem identified it quickly as Sairin, though it questioned why her thoughts changed. It began to adapt that everything was inferior, and that should Sosem wake up, it should destroy everything and anything. Not long after, Sosem felt the touch of Salenen's thoughts permeate his tomb, and absorbed those as well. It spoke of an opposite message, and the golem passed the time by evaluating things from the thoughts of his masters, and their beliefs. Then along came a third, foreign thought. It was covered in evil, disgust and wretched dislike and mistrust, and spoke very vehemently of not just humans and elves, but life in general, and began to infect Sosem's mind.

The once noble, almost paladin-like war construct has now been twisted and defiled. Though it has not realized this. It works based on what it believes would do its tasks the most efficient, regardless if this makes it seen with the "good" or "bad" sides. It does not remember the name of its masters now, and would likely fight them on sight, nor does it remember the name of the race his masters went by, and refers to them as "Ancients".

"I must protect the core. It's power rivals gods, and allows one to forge their own universe if they decide to."

"Behind every villainous man, behind the veil of the decaying... somewhere in the husks, hidden within shells, lays good intentions. Many mortals walk the path to the light, without realizing it is the way to hell."

"Neither the shadows nor light can claim me as their own creation. I am not of evil purpose nor of good heart."

"Why do you fools create, knowing it will one day be destroyed?"

"The bravest and most noble souls that go into the Nether... become lighter than a feather."

"Things that are not supposed to be are the ones that create the problems, yet also aid."

"There's no point in clinging to life, knowing it won't matter in the end."

"Religions... Gods... all illusions and myths, created by ancients to fracture the alliances of man. They are all entrances to the large home of the Nether."
