Cassie: At some point he'd wanna marry her right? 5:57 PM

Cassie: Okay, well I can see Ari getting this idea of marriage into her head. After Kadeem is arrested and makes the deal that keeps Ari off the stand and thus safe from a backlash, that last conversation they have reveals to Ari that he was planning on asking to marry her. 6:01 PM
Cassie: And since their relationship ended in disaster, and her parents' marriage seems too perfect for words and thus impossible to find for herself, Ari kind of decides to never marry. 6:02 PM
Cassie: So Dustin asks her a couple times and each time she playfully turns him down, and then the third time she gets angry. 6:02 PM
Maria: wait..... 6:02 PM
Cassie: "I don't wanna get married! Not today, or tomorrow, or ever!" 6:02 PM
Cassie: Oh lol What? 6:02 PM
Maria: How would she turn him down "playfully"? 6:02 PM
Cassie: He asks, she rolls her eyes and is all "Don't be so mushy, Dustin... Ask me later, kay? -wink-" and then he asks her again and she can be all "Hm... massage me first?" then distracts him with sex. 6:04 PM
Cassie: It'd all happen over like two or three days. 6:04 PM
Cassie: Like with Ashton and Mira. 6:04 PM
Cassie: Except this time Ari really doesn't want Dustin to be serious about marriage. 6:04 PM
Cassie: And no matter what he does he try and prove himself, she'll never budge. 6:05 PM
Maria: So like, you're not talking about getting down on his knees with ring in hand. You're talking about like he brings up the subject for them to discuss because he wants to ask....right? 6:05 PM
Cassie: Right. 6:05 PM
Maria: Okay that makes more sense....so continue? lol 6:06 PM
Maria: She'd get mad and what? 6:06 PM
Cassie: Just keep repeating over and over "I don't wanna get married! There's no point to it! Why do something if there's no point to it?? Aren't you just fine with this right now??" 6:08 PM
Maria: And if he said no? 6:10 PM
Cassie: Shocked silence for a little... then she'd just put her hands on her hips and go "Well I am, so... end of discussion!" 6:11 PM
Maria: Dustin would leave. Just get up and leave. very hurt and very confused as to where he should go from there. He'd probably grab the first flight back to LA to talk to his dad, spend a week or so there with his parents, seriously discussing it with his parents and hers both and trying to understand what's wrong with him. Then he'd go back in time for some big event he's required to be at. An album release or something maybe. But he'd have plans to not stay for very long. Just kinda like...he feels like he's the reason she doesn't want to marry. Like there's something wrong with him. And he feels like he shouldn't be with her until he figures out what it is so he can change it. The extremely selfish, extremely jerkish, extremely lime-light addicted Dustin would be going out of his mind trying to avoid the cameras and the attention long enough to change whatever it is about him she doesn't like so that she'll agree to marry him. Poor thing. lol His ego always takes him down the WRONG roads, but at least he's trying. -huggles Dustin- 6:17 PM
Cassie: lol After a while Annie would probably convince Ari to call their mother to figure out if Dustin has talked to her (probably because Annie knows he has). So Ari calls their mom and Mina tells her she's not going to get involved in this, but then tells her daughter that Dustin should be coming back for that album release he was so excited about. Planting the seed kind of. Ari would call Piper who'd call Dustin's assistant (I assume he'd get a new one lol) who would tell her the hotel he's staying at. So Ari'd go there. Knock on the door and wait for him to answer. 6:21 PM

Maria: Of course he'd look through the peep hole, see it's her, and be compelled to answer because pretending he's not in would only add to her reasons for not wanting him. But he'd be very...un-eager you know? Like he'd say hi, invite her in, but his smiles would be small, he wouldn't hug or kiss her or anything like that. Almost as if they'd broken up even though they technically haven't. ((Don't worry. I really don't mind. It was just funny I was all "Yay! I get to take them off the list! -refresh page- ...-blinkblink- Yay... I get to add them on the list..." lol ^_^;; )) 6:30 PM
Cassie: ((lol Well... How's Maria? =D )) She'd come in, sit down, take the drink, but then put it down. Stand up and turn away from him, take a deep breath, then turn back around and look at him and just go "I wanna be with you. I do. I love you, Dustin, even when you're being a self-absorbed attention-needy jackass. I love you, more than I ever thought I would, and that's why I don't wanna marry you because I feel like getting married is going to ruin everything and if what we have is ruined then I don't have anything left!" with all of it being said in a rush, like she's forcing it all out before she gets scared or her pride shuts her up. 6:34 PM
Maria: ((Slowly but surely)) Drink? lol Okay, so he offered her a drink too ;P After her saying all that he'd just kinda stare at her. He'd shake his head. "I don't get it, Ari. I've tried. God knows I've tried. But I can't understand you? Can't figure you out. Why? What's about me is so horrible that you won't marry me? What is it? Just tell me and I'll get rid of it. Just tell me." 6:46 PM
Cassie: "It's not you!! It's... It's you, but it's not you, I... -covers face with hands and takes a deep breath to keep from crying (Ari NEVER cries in front of anyone, not even Dustin or her sisters)- I just... I feel like if we get married, everything will be ruined. Not because of you, but just because... Just because... I can't even talk! I... -sighs and walks away to the window with her back to him- If I marry you, then it'll hurt a thousand times worse when you leave me." 6:54 PM
Maria: -stands, chest puffed and expression set in confidence- (spoken sternly, like it's undeniable fact) "WHEN I marry you, it will be because I will NEVER leave you." 6:57 PM
Cassie: -snaps around and gestures at him angrily, almost accusingly- "YOU HAVE TO DIE SOMETIME!!!" 6:59 PM
Cassie: "Face it! Sooner or later, you are going to leave me! One way or another!" 6:59 PM
Maria: "Ari, if you're so afraid of me leaving you then why don't you get your other foot outside the door so I can walk out of it too! You've been ready to leave me from the day we started and if you're too cowardly to face that and choose one way or the other which you'd rather have then I'll choose for you. You can be with me, or without me, but you can't have both. It's not fair to either of us for you to play this little game of riding the fence. So pick a side and jump!" 7:03 PM
Cassie: -without skipping a beat- "Then ask me again!" 7:05 PM
Maria: -holding out one hand, practically begging- "Ari. Marry me." 7:05 PM
Maria: (She should say no defiantly and walk out. >.> lol just saying) 7:06 PM
Maria: (That's how the scene ended in my head. lol) 7:06 PM
Cassie: (Don't you want them to get married?) 7:07 PM
Maria: (Yes but I had another idea >.> lol) 7:07 PM
Cassie: (Hmmm.... Should I trust you?? >_> Hmmmm....) -pauses, looks at him, his hand, then back at him, covers her mouth with both hands and whispers- "No..." -runs out- 7:08 PM
Maria: What were you going to have her do before? 7:09 PM
Cassie: Take his hand and then slowly walk into his arms so that they were embracing each other, then she'd whisper "Yes" into his ear. 7:10 PM
Maria: ((The way I saw it, she got insulted by him accusing her like that which made her angry so she says it like she's mad at him, not like she's about to cry, you know? Which puts the blame on him. Like by saying that he forced her into making a choice out of anger and leaving him so it's his fault. Rather than her crying, meaning she knows she's leaving him and it's her fault....does that make sense? lol Anyway... see the reason was, my idea is that Dustin feels that it's his fault (the reason I saw it as her being angry) like he pushed her when he shouldn't have. He should have been more understanding and whatnot. So he pulls a Tyler. At the big album release he asks to perform a song, and he gets out his guitar, sits on a stool up on stage, and just him and the guitar plays that song that his dad sang to his mother to get her back. He knows that all the FFTM kids know that story and he hopes that she'll hear the song and understand that he's apologizing to her and begging for a second chance the way his dad did, before it's too late. And not only does it work and she confronts him backstage after the release(I was thinking the CD wasn't Dustin singing but him producing it), but Darrel (snicker snicker) decides he likes what he hears in this kid and asks to give him a shot at the country game, a real shot, not just a CD made by connections or whatever. lol Kicking off Dustin's real career as both a successful singer and music producer
