Piper ODs
When Ian asks Piper out for the first time. She agrees to a date but nothing more. He takes that and they have an amazing first date! Romantic and sweet with lots of laughing and really having fun. It's nothing big or fancy or expensive like what guys normally use to impress her. It's just honest him and she has a great time. So she agrees for a second date, and a third, and a fourth. And each time they get to know each other a little more and each time she has even more fun than the time before. But at the end of every date she tells him "This was just a date. There's someone else." And Ian always says in return. "That's alright. I can wait for you to choose me." Then one night several dates later while their exchanging this familiar goodbye, Ian changes it. "That's alright. *kiss* I love you. I will wait until you choose me." And from then on that's what he says every time. She just brushes it off as him goofing around and never takes him seriously. Ian is there to bail her out, and the only one he doesn't give her grief about getting arrested. He stands strong for her through the struggles that lead her to ODing. And he totally breaks down when she nearly kills herself. All the while she's thought of him as a good friend, maybe more. But Dustin has always been there so she has never let herself think of Ian as truly someone she could love. Then, when she wakes up in the hospital, Ian is there asleep with his head on the bed and the nurse tells her he never left through the whole time. When he wakes up, she asks him why he hasn't freaked out about her ODing and headed for the hills. He takes her hand, kisses her forehead and tells her "I told you. I love you. And I'll be waiting until you choose me." (meaning first he was waiting for her to pick him instead of Dustin but now he's waiting for her to pick him over the drugs and drinking and wild parties and everything else she's doing to hurt herself.) OD details razz iper is left alone, but then gives into her curiosity and turns on the tv to see her face plastered everywhere. The media is destroying her and showing interviews with people she went to high school with who are telling lies about her. Goes online to try and set some stuff straight on her twitter, only to see that it's too late and the internet is abuzz with Piper-hate too. She can't stop reading all the stuff about her, with people saying "This world wouldm't mourn her!!" and "Bet she has STDs" and she reads it for hours and hours, breaking down further every time. By early morning she'd be in her bathroom, completely cracked and reduced to a pile of shambles and hysterical sobbing. She'd shoot up on heroin, but it can't make her stop thinking about it, so she reaches for sleeping pills and pops like 6 or 7 of them. She's not really TRYING to kill herself.... but she's not really being careful either. She manages to get back to her bedroom to go to sleep, but passes out after crawling under the blankets. About 45 minutes to an hour later, her assistant would walk in like "Okay, Piper, up and at 'em! You can't hide in here forever! You've gotta face the lying jerks and set 'em straight!" When Piper doesn't answer, the woman would go to the bedroom thinking she's still asleep. Walking in, she'd see Piper's hand peeking out from under the blankets, and it'd be one of those instinct things. Where just the way the hand is lying seems.... wrong. "Piper, get up... Piper? Piper, can you hear me?..... PIPER!!!" She'd check for a pulse and find a weak one, call the hospital, the EMTs would manage to stabilize her breathing, get her into ICU or Trauma or wherever they'd send someone in her condition.
