After talking to the pair, the dragon is no longer amused and grabs Gavin up with it's tail, crushing him before tossing him away like a rag doll. Drake is so furious that in desperation to protect his friend and devastation that he might be dead, he changes into his dragon form preparing to fight off the much larger dragon. The dragon recognizes Drake's form and confronts him as being the daughter (Dun dun dun) of a traitor, an ex-friend. Shocked and angered by the dragon's arrogance and lack of remorse over Gavin, Drake attacks. But the dragon easily fights Drake off and tells her to go check on her toy, then escapes into the water.
- Drake runs to check on Gavin, changing back into her form as she runs over to her friend. She/he collapses, naked, at his friends side, also injured. Gavin is barely breathing and she starts crying over him, begging him to wake up and confessing all her deepest secrets to him in the hopes that something will shock him enough to give some reaction so she knows he's still alive. But eventually she also looses consciousness over his body. Not before seeing a strange bright light though.
- Drake wakes up the next morning, his body having recovered from most of the injuries.He realizes his human body is bare and still in the form of a woman and still lying over Gavin's chest and he's stirring. He quickly changes to his male form then checks on Gavin. He's breathing now but still badly hurt. He can't move and is going back and forth between awake and unconscious. Drake stays with him until he hears voices. Men from the crew, along with Spike and Isolde and two strangers. The group helps Gavin and Drake back to the ship and Elan heals her long lost friend as best as she can, then they have a joyous reunion. Drake feels jealous and threatened by Elan.
