Tyler/Danny getting together
Tyler sees Candy n Danny, runs out for a smoke. danny follows n in the course of conversation hints at his feelings for Tyler without directly saying it (for the sake of their friendship). Right. Okay. So Tyler would pick up on it, but ignore it probably. Danny would say something about his being frustrated because of Bree? n how he hates that candy flirts with him becuz he likes someone else n it's off putting to the other person he actually likes. Tyler would blink, but then take a drag from the cigarette and go "How would you know if the other person cares or not? Danny would pause for a minute, like about to answer. then smile "I just do." Tyler, still angry, would go "You don't know nearly as much as you think you do!" "maybe so. do you want to be alone?" He'd angrily flick the cigarette over the porch railing into the sand. "I'm alone all day at the office and even when I'm here Bree is too busy grading tests and coming up with clever lesson plans for her precious students." I realize he sounds bitter, but he's not, and he doesn't hate her for her devotion to the school. He's just angry about what he saw so it's leaking into everything he says. I picked up on that he'd take that as a no and relax where ever they happen to be. n he'd sit in silence for a while to see if Tyler would say anything else. would he...? After a long time of silence he'd run a hand through his hair and go "If Candy keeps pissing off the girl you like why don't you just tell Candy to back off?" Danny would swallow down a laugh. "Ty, you should know better. if there was a girl I liked I'm sure Candy's advances would be much more appreciated. besides, you know her. she doesn't quit once she finds a challenge, no matter what you tell her." He'd swallow as well, then be quiet for a bit. Then when he finally spoke he'd go "Then why don't you just ask this person out? Get yourself taken so Candy can't bother you anymore?" "hmm, it's sounds so simple, doesn't it?" all chill and relaxed because he's building up his courage to do just that lol "problem is, this guy, he's one of my best friends. if I just go up to him and ask him to dinner next Friday, a million and one things could go wrong. what if he says no? then I've not only been turned down, I've lost a friend." he'd pause. then lean forward to look Tyler in the eye "would you risk it?" Tyler would stare at him intensely, but then look away out at the sea and go "Bree always tells me to stay safe. She worries so much about everyone, but especially about me. Sometimes I think she really does love me..." And he'd pause... Then go without looking at Danny, "But I've always thought a little risk in life is good." Danny would take a deep breath, then nod and lean back very relaxed. "so, wanna do dinner next Friday?" Tyler wouldn't say anything. He'd bow his head and get a very dark look on his face, because he knows that if he says yes, which he wants to desperately, he'd become a cheater. Which is one thing he always promised Bree he'd never be. When he does speak he'd go "Remember that year when Bree was gone? She went to England and then Russia to study abroad?" "yup." "When she was gone, I was afraid she'd cheat on me. I'd spend hours lying awake at night thinking about if she met some other guy, if he made her laugh, if he got her heart racing..." "you're right. you're right. sorry I asked." said in a very honest, sweet way, but obviously disappointed. Tyler would quickly go "I wasn't finished. I was so afraid she'd cheat on me. But whenever I was with you, or even just around you... -looks over- I didn't care anymore. Because I knew, even when I didn't know at all, that if I ever got the chance... -turns to face him completely- I'd do the same thing to her." Danny would happy, but then suddenly hesitant... "she's not abroad anymore though..." Tyler would nod gravely. "I know. Which means we have to be very... -steps towards him- very... -steps towards him again- careful." Danny would stand to meet him n theeeeen..... lol idk. I can't decide who's the more dominate in their relationship. it goes back and forth so much... lol but he'd agree of course. n maybe reach out to touch him, risk a first kiss if they're in a secluded place... maybe, maybe not... lol not sure
