Enfys
Enfys stood before a small mixed audience. She had walked all through the day, and when night fell, she had found herself here. She would stay here for the night, or for a few days, depending on how the people before her received her stories. This pattern she had followed for about a year, and she found it served her well. "Now."She began, turning over stories in her mind. There were many younglings in the audience, but one or two adults as well. Ah. She knew what story to tell. "When I was not much older than some of you, I lived with the others of my kind, the Irizat, in a village of tree houses. Oh, it was grand. We younglings spent our days scampering all over the village trees, racing through branches and seeing who could climb the highest.
Now in that village, there was another Irizat named Zarsin, only a little older than some of you. He lived in a tall, tall tree." Enfys moved her arms over her head to demonstrate. "Zarsin lived in the tallest tree in the village, and he got up to all sorts of trouble. One day, he thought he would go out of the village, into a dark, foggy place nearby. Travelers like myself often get lost there. Zarsin saw, from his place up in a tall tree, that one such traveler was moving through now. 'Well.' Said Zarsin to himself. 'I shall have myself a grand adventure, and play the hero at days end. This traveler will brighten up my dull afternoon.' "
