I'm onto better things, can't you see?
I just want to be free of all the demons that you try to throw at me.

It may have been a year, but it died so long ago
The fear of being alone got the best of me, I guess
So I sucked in my breath and I waited until I had the chance to escape.

The time is now.
Only a few more weeks and I'll be moving back home, I'll get the chance to better my life and be happy.
I can't wait for that day, the day I'm finally home.

If you knew the things I did last night, your heart would break
And some say I should be cruel and kill you,
But no matter how horridly you treated me, I'll always do my best to be civil.

The scars will speak for themselves.

I only want you to stay away,
But you keep trying to knock on the door and ask for a place to lay your head.
I don't have that for you, I'm sorry.

I'm enjoying my time experiencing new things.

We need to go our separate ways.
I loved you, I needed you,
But in the end, none of it proved to be worthy,
It lacked luster and thus it seemed untrue.

But regardless, thank you.
