Role| Neutral; Neutral Lawful

Name and Aliases| Killara or "Her Ascendance"

Birth Information| Born at a mere 7lbs, with a length of 17in.; Her brothers, born with her as a set of Triplets, were sacrificed at birth in order to support their smaller, premature size sister with spiritual energy; she was chosen due to her having greater magic potential in the future.

Appearance| 5 feet and 8 inches tall; Weighs 130 pounds; Petite proportions, but physically fit nonetheless; Golden Irises; Healthy chocolate brown hair with golden high lights towards the bottom of the, somewhat, bob-style cut; Pale skin tone (Unable to tan); All Magus Ascendents are given a tattoo at maturity on both of their shoulders and is found on all Sealed Magus Ascendents' Sarcophagi. All Magus Ascendents also cease to physically age at the age of 21. She also tends to wear dark mascara over her eyes to accentuate her already deep golden irises.

Clothing| [TekTek of Killara]

Personality| [Voice Sample]

Likes and Dislikes|

Hobbies/Habits|

Arsenal| Killara carries only one weapon on her and that is a magically converted shotgun that fires magical rounds (spells) according to which element she currently has the weapon imbued with. She has dubbed the weapon "Destiny" on account that she believes it is her destiny to prove that not all Magus Ascendents are destined for a life-end goal of energy transformation.

Special Abilities and/or Skills| Killara's abilities (rounds) range in elements, but all are released from her shotgun, "Destiny". The shots fired depend on the current element "Destiny" is imbued with. Each shot costs a small amount of mana, but that mana can later be restored during a concentrated meditation session. Each shot deals moderate magic damage (assuming the shots hit).

[-]Peacemaker: A fire based round for Destiny; this round has a long range and no spread but fires a single slug in a straight line. On impact, the slug may or may not explode into an incendiary burst. These flames die out relatively fast seeing as they burn off of mana, not Oxygen.
[-]Arcano Pulse: A lightning based round for Destiny; this round has a short range, but a dangerously wide spread that fires lightning into the area in front of Killara. On impact, the lightning bolts may or may not mini-stun the target, disrupting any channels or escapes. This round does slightly more damage than other rounds since it is Killara's main element, but it also has a slightly larger mana cost per shot.
[-]Dust Devil: An earth based round for Destiny; this round has a medium range, but an abnormally large spread. The round causes no damage, but leaves behind a thick cloud of dust for Killara to either use as an escape tool or deception tool.
[-]Zephyr: A wind based round for Destiny; this round has a long range and no spread but fires a single wind-based slug in a straight line. This slug is also slightly larger than Peacemaker. On impact, the slug will dissipate into thin air, but may or may not send the target flying in the direction of the shot. Unfortunately for Killara, this round has as much recoil as it does utility, so it may or may not send her flying back away from the direction of the shot as well.
[-]Maelstrom: A water based round for Destiny; this round has a medium range, but no spread. The shot is a water-based slug that, upon impact, may or may not trap the target in an aquatic prison for a short duration. Targets trapped in the aquatic prison experience the same result as being under water.
[-]Dark Binding: A shadow-essence based round for Destiny; this round has a long range and no spread. Instead of a projectile slug or shell being fired, Destiny fires off a shadow chain. Upon impact with an opponent, the chain will bind them. Killara can then either cause Destiny to retract the chain back, causing her to fly towards the opponent, or let the chain die off. Upon impact with terrain or the sorts, the chain grapples onto the environment. Killara can then do the same action with the chain. No other rounds can be used while a chain is still attached to Destiny.
[-]Tempest: A lightning based round for Destiny; this round has a huge range and a very large AoE. Killara aims Destiny towards the sky and fires an explosive slug into the air. Upon reaching a specific height, the slug will detonate and unleash an electrical storm onto the battlegrounds below. Each lightning strike deals minor damage, but targets can be hit multiple times within the duration of the storm. This round has a large mana cost and is used only in cases of desperation.

Flaws and/or Fears| Killara refuses to use her magical training in its true form, out of fear that she may lose control and end up like many her people: magical energy based beings that can only be preserved within steel sarcophagi, or parish into pure energy. Therefore, she uses Destiny, her magic imbued shotgun. Because of this, her magic is weaker, but strong nonetheless. She fears being fatally wounded, as that would cause the catalysis of her body to begin converting into said energy based beings.

General Education| Like any other young child, Killara was taught the basics of literature and arithmetic, along with some science (primarily alchemy). Due to her being chosen as a Magus Ascendent, after her 4th year of basic education, she was taken into apprenticeship with an already powerful Magus Ascendant named Xerath. From him she learned what she knows about magic in its most powerful, pure form. At the age of 16, she witnessed the transformation of Xerath, causing her people to trap him within a steel sarcophagus, bound to it with a powerful spell and magic imbued chains, for only those powerful and worthy enough are given this privilege. He now wanders endlessly, trying to figure out a way to revert this transformation. That was the last she saw of her mentor, but what she'd learned already was sufficient for her to become a Magus Ascendent on her own.

Religious Beliefs| As a Magus Ascendent, Killara believes only in the untapped potential of Magic, but refuses to practice said Magic. She does not believe in higher beings other than lessons from other Magus Ascendents.

Family and Relationships| Mother and Father both Magus Ascendents, transformed but not preserved later on; 2 Brothers, sacrificed at birth.
[-]She also met Nevermore, unexpectedly and in a very abrupt manner, after Xerath had escaped his tomb. During her journey with it, she developed a lust for it, but it would not work out for her...not entirely, anyways; Oddly enough, the Magus and the Shadow expressed interest in each other later on, leading to their Shadow Bond/Engagement and eventually their Marriage. The Magus took on Nevermore's implied last name, Ozkavosh.

Origin and History| The Magus Ascendents: an elite group of mages who practice magic in its most pure, most powerful form. Little is known about them beyond that. What information is known is kept secret from most, if not all, other intelligent beings. Killara Leerstrom, the sole surviving child of a triplet birth, is one of the few Magus Ascendents that still lives as a human today.

The village from where Magus Ascendents originate is known as Shurima. This small village, though quite advanced in magic and magic technology, known better as HexTech, is the home of all Magus Ascendents and any of those who serve to aid in their goals. Killara's parents were both Magus Ascendents, so it'd only be right that their child become an even more powerful one. Unfortunately, her mother was impregnated with triplets: Killara and two unnamed brothers who were sacrificed at birth. This was done for 2 reasons: magic potential is split per child, so each child would have been weak if they were all chosen to live, and Killara, though the smallest of the 3, had the most potential. To this day, the souls of her two brothers reside within her body, forever empowering her. Killara then proceeded to live as any other child within Shurima, attending basic school for reading, language, arithmetic, and even Alchemy in replacement of Science. She thought she had it normal for the longest time.

Then the day came where her parents lost control of their grip on their magical abilities. When a Magus Ascendent loses control of his or her magic, they begin to catalyze into pure energy beings that, if not bound to magical sarcophagi, will parish into thin air. Killara was unaware of this event as she was at school when it occurred. When the high Magi received news of this, they immediately ordered Killara to be put under apprenticeship of one of the youngest, and most powerful, Magus Ascendents: Xerath. Killara was, essentially, kidnapped from school in the middle of the day, blindfolded and carried to Xerath's hidden quarters underneath the High Magi's chamber. When her blindfold was removed, she saw before her a young, handsome man who was working on a book of sorts. Killara was still young, around 8, so her curiosity was peaked. She approached the young man, but was immediately lifted from the ground by some unknown force and flipped upside down. Killara held her clothes in place as the man examined her and spoke, "Hm...so they've sent me you? Leerstrom...ah, yes. I know of you...I know very much about you...haha...you'll do quite well..." As he finished speaking, she was dropped to the ground gently, landing with a firm thud. After a few seconds of groaning, she walked up to the man and tugged on his coat, "What are you doing mister?"

From that day, Killara was trained harshly and strictly in the ways of the Magus Ascendents. From Xerath she learned many things, including his personal information. Though he appeared 21, he was really 180 years old. She tried not to let this get to her, because she'd be afraid to live past a normal age of say 70, but she learned to not fear death for it would not come by natural means. And if it meant her staying young and beautiful like Xerath, it might just be worth it. And so they continued. With Xerath being her mentor, and him being a Lightning attributed Magus Ascendent, it was only logical that she'd pick up the same attribute as well. Training continued until she was 16. At this age, mentors tattoo the "Ascendent Crest" onto each shoulder of their apprentices begin to spar with their apprentices in order to help them sharpen their skills. Killara enjoyed this portion the most. She got to show off her athleticism as well as he magical training. It was all fun to her, that is until that fateful day.

During one specific spar with Xerath, he'd used a lightning spell full force as he feared losing to his apprentice in an embarrassing manner. Unfortunately for him, the spell was still unstable, even with his experience. He'd lost control. Before Killara's very eyes she witnessed the catalysis of her mentor into the energy being all Magus Ascendents can be transformed into. She tried to help, yelling at him to see if he'd hear her, but to no avail. She'd try to approach the catalyzing corpse, but with no luck. Each step she took towards him caused lightning to shoot out at her feet. The High Magi were aware of this and immediately summoned themselves around Xerath's catalyzing body, each wielding a piece of what looked like a sarcophagus. One by one, the Magi fused and bound the energy-Xerath to each piece, eventually bounding all of the pieces together. The sarcophagi that was now Xerath then fell to the ground, his chamber now his tomb. Killara was taken back to the surface of Shurima by the High Magi. Any of her and Xeraths personal belongings were given back to her, including clothing material, which she used to craft her current outfit, modeled after her mentor's coat, but more risque...and...well, revealing. What would she do now?

At the age of 18, Killara decided it was time to go back into Xerath's chamber to find out what had really happened to him. What was to happen next would be a complete mystery to anyone, even the High Magi. As Killara approached the entrance to Xerath's tomb, the iron door flew open, the room pitch black, except for a sharp, white smile that could be seen approaching her...rapidly. As she turned to run back to the surface, she was snatched off of her feet by the very smile she'd seen in the dark. As the surface was approached, an explosion of energy could be seen and felt from behind them. Looking closely behind them, Killara noticed Xerath's sarcophagus rapidly following up. She thought this was the end, until she was tossed into the air an impressive height. As she looked down, the dark figure had stopped in place and looked as if it was drawing back a bow of sorts, aimed at the sarcophagus that was quickly approaching her. As she screamed at the top of her lungs, the dark figure had fired an extremely powerful, extremely fast traveling bolt of sorts at Xerath, sending the sarcophagus off of its path and towards the center of Shurima. Killara continued to scream as she fell back to the ground. As the dark figure caught her, she continued to scream, still traumatized by what had just happened. As she calmed down and opened her eyes once more, she looked into the dark figures gaze...if it had one. The male, or at least what she thought was male, had no eyes, but only a mouth. She then passed out.

When she awoke, she saw Shurima from a distance: on fire and in shambles. Had Xerath done this? She then looked around her to see where she was, and it was on a green cliff some distance from the village. Beside her, she sensed someone, and it was the dark being who'd...rescued her. It was staring at the village, murmuring to itself, "...so many souls gone to waste..." Killara was confused by what it said, but did not question it, "...thank you...whoever or whatever you are...for helping me, but I need to go help my people," she stated bluntly as she stood up and began to run in the direction of her village.

Upon her arrival, she was met with dissent and anger. The sole surviving High Magi yelled at her fiercely, condemning her as a heretic to the village. They believed she'd caused the villages demise and banished her from her own home, throwing whatever belongings she owned at her. She fled from the village in tears of both sorrow and anger, back to where the dark figure had taken her. To her surprise, it was still there, "Welcome back. Now, if you'd be so kind as to tell me your name, beautiful..." it stated with a sharp smile. It could see her? But it had no eyes, there's no way it could see. Perhaps it used from sort of sensing ability. Then again, it did call her beautiful. As she wiped her tears and smeared mascara away, she laughed a bit at the being, "...and who are you to ask for my name?" It looked(?) at her with a smirk, "The name's Nevermore, girl. Tell me, why are you crying over something so silly? Your people were stupid to meddle in the dark arts. They even tried corrupting you. Hell, you're probably already at risk..."

This was Killara's first contact with Nevermore, an Ancient Shadow Entity who'd been nice enough to let her travel with it for awhile. For 3 years, Killara would travel afar with the living shadow, learning more and more about her village's true intentions, as well as discovering who she was. Nevermore showed her the ways of using powerful, pure magic in a lesser form to prevent her from catalyzing like her mentor. This is the time where she'd pick up "Destiny" and learn the ways of arcane bulletry and fusion. After 2 years of traveling with Nevermore, she couldn't help but feel somewhat of an attachment. Both emotionally and physically. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help but lust for Nevermore, human-being or not. She'd flirt with it, tease it, even force it to kiss her, but Nevermore could never return those feelings. Its eyes...well, focus, was set on something much bigger than human lust and emotions.

The third year: Killara was now 21. She had reached maturity. Her lust for a male's touch, even just contact with a male, was now what drove her intentions as she continued to travel with Nevermore. As the day turned to night, the time of day Nevermore was strongest and most alive, Killara released an Arcano Pulse shot from Destiny towards Nevermore. The shot did little damage to Nevermore, but it did leave it paralyzed. As it fell to the ground, it saw Killara's weapon and jacket fall as well. The last it heard from her before blacking out entirely was, "You've kept me waiting too long, Nevermore..."

The next day arrived. Killara awoke, feeling wonderfully satisfied, and turned to where she remembered Nevermore being when she fell asleep. No one was there, but there was something there beside her. Before examining any further, Killara clothed herself once more. As she turned back to the object, she noticed it 'd turned into a pair of gloves that seemed to eminate the essence that flowed from Nevermore. As she put on the gloves, a message ran through the gloves and into her mind, "Killara Leerstrom, you lusty scoundrel. I'll admit, I enjoyed what happened, but it's come to my attention that it cannot work. The feelings you have for me...I cannot return. If your lust for me is to cause issues with my journey, then I'm afraid I must stray away from your path. Perhaps in another life time...or a different time all together, Killara. Believe me though, you haven't seen the last of me..." Killara fought back tears of both joy and anger. Was she to be a stray Magus forever?
