Roleplay Sample #1 10/10/2012
Marciano & Liona
The next few days were a blur for Liona- her work-hours extended, while she was sent on boring, tediously repetitive jobs that left her in a haze- all as punishment for having lost track of Alliah- still, it could have been much worse. After losing track of the Don's daughter, she was just grateful to have all of her limbs intact and functional.
Still, she hadn't talked much to the other girl after that- not confronted her- but unable to move past it. She was a like a ghost- which was all she need ever be for the family- a phantom observer, but still capable of striking down anyone who incurred the family's wrath- or got too close to the Don's precious baby girl.
It came as a surprise when she was extended an invitation for the 'welcome home' party for the Don's new wife and daughter- normally she would have declined, but as she knew she was still on pins and needles, she forced herself into a fitted cocktail dress, that hugged her often over-looked curves. It was a pretty purple hue that seemed to emphasize the natural red tint to her hair, with a cream sash around her waist that matched the kitten heels she had forced herself into.
Honestly, the requirements for 'fashion' were as impractical as ever. Still, if push came to shove, she supposed she could stab someone with her shoe. ....So that's why they called them 'stilettos'!!
After a rather univentful commute and a good twenty minutes of various security check-points and pat-downs, she was able to enter the building. Immediately shrugging her coat into the arms of the wait-staff, she went straight for her bosses-and then the Don, extending her greetings and thanks for the invitation- conveniently making her attendance known, before slipping up the stairs to the overlooking balcony in order to keep a proper eye on the goings-on below.
No sooner had she gotten comfortable, than a figure emerged from the shadows- a tall man in a sleek, tailored three-piece suit and red tie, his naturally wavy dark brown hair tamed and slicked back for the evening. "Hello Little One." He greeted calmly- with just a hint of teasing, moving to stand next to her, easily dwarfing her much smaller form.
Liona felt a chill run down her spine and slowly raised her hands to grasp the banister tightly- lest he attempt to throw her over, or drag her off to kill her- or worse.
"....Hello, Marciano." She responded, her voice strained and nervous, uncomfortable around another hunter- one whose mere existence nearly voided her status as a 'predator'- as he could turn her into prey in the blink of an eye.
He chuckled at her reaction and slipped fully from the shadows to lean against the banister, his sharp green eyes never once wavering from his unknowing charge. "Having fun watching the "adults" mingle?" He asked, emphasizing the word sarcastically, as to him, they were no more than children- well-connected ones at that, but still silly, squabbling children none the less.
She inched away from him slowly- trying to put a little more distance between them, "...I don't know. Tell me, are you enjoying stalking the Don's daughter?" She asked, maintaining a soft- if slightly tense tone.
He glanced over at her and smirked- a few of his teeth a little too sharp and a little too prominent, even while retracted. "As a matter of fact, I am." He replied, almost cheerfully- causing her to shudder involuntarily.
"So why don't you go say 'hi'?" She asked, refusing to look at him.
He sniffed a bit, a little displeased that she wouldn't play with him, but pushed himself away from the banister, "...I think I might." He said, his smirk widening as he tucked one hand into his pocket- waving to her with the other as he headed down the stairs- grabbing a drink off of a server's tray as he made his way over to Alliah, pausing in front of her and offering an easy, "Hi."
