Is that a cool title or what? Maybe I'll change my journal name to that.... Anyway, here's the star-struck philosophy you were looking for.
We all like to think that we're special. We all like to think that we're unique. We all like to think that we can be famous, and grand, and affect thousands of lives. Of course you do. You like to thnik that MAYBE, just maybe, your idea will be the one that everyone likes, admires, uses. You don't even consider that there are billions and billions of people in the world, and all of them are trying hard to be on top. You don't think that someone in the past had the same idea. You want to make a difference.
Does it really matter if the ozone is destroyed, humanity obliterated, Earth trashed? It won't make any difference in the big, wide universe. And then the universe will be gone, and an infintessimily small thought in a long-dead human's head on a long-dark tiny planet in a small solar system won't matter the least bit. You will be GONE.
Lesson 1: All good things must end.
