we're back again,
Me and you, or at least,
Your voice inside my head.

Play it forward, pause and rewind,
I don't like what you've said this time.
And in my dreams, you still don't tell me what I need,
But I can't run away from you,

The person I've invested years into,
And its become so unsatisfying, vying for the love of someone whose long since left the space by my side,
The ghost of your lips are still pressed against mine,

I close my eyes, and you're still there,
I've tried pressing forward, but we're stuck here.

An endless loop, a gash in time,
Now I can't even press rewind.

We're here, but you're not,
I'm here, but you've forgotten me,
Left me searching for you on the east coast,
I look to you for comfort, for consolidation,

You've always been the best at shoving my emotions in a box,
are they still under your bed, safe from the chance that you'll see what's been here,
All these years, begging for your attention?

And here we are, but you're nowhere to be found,
