A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With But One Step.
The Old One - VIII
And after all the preprtion The Old One told of making to his new home, he slowly began to clean up the surronding area.

Outside of his Pool-Den he cleared debrisand trash making a big pile in a pit he dug several hundred few across to the left of his new home and burn and buried the remanents till he filled the hole full cover the top with a layer of dirt and a tree to mark the spot, which he managed by cultivation of a apple to a sapling and planted on top.

He went from there cleaning first the area around his Pool-Den, and then house to house even slowlly demolishing collapsed house including the one near his new home.

And of course this lead to more supplies and much spare wood for use in making things and for fuel when not good enough quality for making or crafting with.

This cleaning gave him purpose too, it kept his mind sane while alone in this left overr dead world he said when telling of the times before meeting the outsiders.

He did bry carefullly any remains he found in a open dirt field across from his Pool-Den givng each a prayer and a marker, from then on making that field a makeshift cemetery trying to line up the burials best he could on the uneven rocky barren plot of earth.

If possible to tell he buried families together, though in many cases it wasnt possible to link a name or body to any specific family or identity.
