Another story I'm working on about Techies, you know, Even nerds and geeks score big.

"Look, Janus, do you have a crush on me?" She asked him, softly. He was looking at her, and she wanted him to say something anything to break the silence.
"No, I don't. Crushes are for high school kids." He said angrily. He wanted to be the cool guy who didn't care whether a woman liked him or not. But he did. He liked her and he'd wanted her from the first time they met. He looked away from her out the horizon. "I don't."
"But you..." She started to say but he turned his head back to her with a steady stare and silence ensued.
"If I had a crush on you, I wouldn't be abled to do this." He took her face between his two strong hands and brought her closer to him. And then he just stopped. Stopped moving nearly stopped breathing. She was breathing hard, waiting for anything to happen. He let her go and got up gracefully, walking way down the beach.
