wildfire *rose*
I open my eyes, but it is odd. It's as if I'm opening my eyes for the first time. Wait. This is the first time I've ever opened my eyes.

Looking around, I recognize nothing here. Should I? I am on a bed. I was sleeping. There is one dresser, next to the bed, and no other furniture. The room is painted... a very deep red? It is almost black. It smells like sulpher in here.

I sit up, and stretch. I have no idea how long I've been asleep. Or... anything, actually. I shake my head.

"Well, there's nothing for it." I said to myself, and got up. I went to the dresser, considering I looked half naked. I put on a pair of stickings that fit, and a skirt... and found a neat pair of steel-tipped shoes next to the dresser. They all fit fine, and I think I look good enough.

I looked at the only door leading out of my room. It is closed. My curiousity takes hold of me. I walk over, and open the door. A stairway leads down from my room. At least, I think it is my room. I follow it, hoping to find somebody. I certainly hope they can tell me why I can't remember anything.

I get to the bottom of the stairs, and see a large circular room. In it's center is a huge inset circle, with a red futon-type couch on the inside. There are no doors leading out from here, but about five more stairwells, leading up.
"This is a weird house." I said, again to myself.

"Yes, well, we are a weird family, as you put it." said a voice, coming closer from in one of the stairwells.

The voice... a part of me, a small part, said I knew that voice. But, it also said the voice was bad. It doesn't sound bad to me. I decided the voice was stupid. Probably an overly anxious conscious or something.

The man appeared coming out of the stairwell across and to the left of mine. He looked interesting. His clothes were fun and colorful, and he seemed familiar. Even the little voice inside my head mimicked that I knew him.

"I'm sorry." I said, not sure how to go about this, "I'm sure I know you. But, well, right now I don't even know myself. Who are you?" I asked. No. I had demanded. And the apology came out as more of a formality. And I nodded. This was definately the right tone for me.

"Ah. Many apologies, my dear. I am your favorite uncle, Luman. You are Rose. And this, " he gestured around, "is our family home." He smiled. No, more like a grin.

I frowned.

He smiled automatically, walking toward the couches.

"Have a seat, my Lady." he said, and waited.

I walked over, and brushed past him. I sat down, and then he did as well.

"What is going on?" I asked. "I feel as if something is... incorrect... with myself."

He smiled, and nodded sincerely.

"I am afraid, dear neice, that you have had quite a tumble. Fell, actually, a height of about 100 feet." He paused, and took out a cigarette. He spoke while lighting it. "I took you to the hospital, and they fixed you up. Better than ever." he said. He took a drag from his cigarette as he did so.

"Really?" I asked, and his eyes flickered toward me. They held... uncertainty. Maybe a lie?

"Well, not exactly." He said. He shfted, and when his eyes came back to mine, they were open and honest. "The hospital could only do so much. I brought you back here, and with the help of your grandmother, you have been... fixed. Back to the way you should be. And... better, even. Except for your memory, which is... not something I am able to fix. It may never return, I've been told."

I evaluated his statements, and he was telling the truth. I smiled.

"Well, I owe you a great deal, then, don't I?" I replied.

He nodded and shrugged at the same time. Odd.

"Well, in truth, yes." He managed. "But, well, we work together a lot. I'm sure that if you feel you owe me, a few favors would suffice."

I nodded, and smiled.

Then I listened to all that he told me. Of our family history. Of our strengths and our enemies. And our plans. Then he mentioned some things that needed to be taken care of- for our family's benefit. And suggested I take care of them, as repayment. After all, I owe him and grandmother a lot. I agreed, and we went up a different stairwell.

We ended up in a white triangle-shaped room. There was no furniture, only two silver squares on the walls. They looked like they were metallic cloths pinned to the walls, rippled by a draft. I looked around, but saw nothing moving the air.
Luman stepped toward the silver screen on the left.

"This is our teleporter room." He said, then pointed to the screen on the left. "If you enter here, you will end up back in Gaia." He pointed to the screen on the right. "When you wish to return, you come back through this one." He nodded, as if it made perfect sense. I didn't quite get it. "Prevents collisions." he said in explaination. I nodded. Now it made sense.

Then he reached into his coat pocket.

"This," he said, bringing out a silver bracelet, "will allow you to transport to and from here."

He handed it to me, and I took it and put it on.

"All right then." I said, as I went through everything we had gone over. Then I paused. "Shall I come back before I'm through?" I asked.

He smiled.

"If you need to. Or want to."

I nodded.

"All right. See you later." I said, and stepped through the silver screen.

... Well, that's never a good sign, but typical of that hospital.

Am I the only one who picked up on the "Then he mentioned some things that needed to be taken care of- for our family's benefit." bit that almost directly followed the "Of our strengths and our enemies." part?

Call me paranoid, but I think Luman may be sending rose after us....maybe not so much after you two, Chazu and Seph, but me because I prevented Luman and Uli from getting her the first time around.

I've got Heartless going to be coming at me from one side; possibly Rose from the other; the GSA from the front and god knows what from behind.

Seph: good instincts.

Chazu: Well, that hospital did take care of all the injuries. But apparently they don't partake in mental... corrections.

Dragon, you're paranoid. All you have to worry about from Kamidogu is the fact that he will lift your SGW if and when he escapes from the KH universe.

Rose-chan, I know that hospital well... I don't trust them.
