Dihnoro's diary
This is a journal about his earlier life and personal notes (very detailed)
Lost in the Mist
Walking the winding steep path that led out of the demonic cage fighter bar, Dihnoro happily thought to himself of solving another clue with help from his friend Zehkiel. Water, water, where can I go to find her? He wondered, then an idea struck him. The port. Making his way down there, he saw all the tradesmen and fishermen on the docks, selling their fish and merchandise to locals and visitors alike. He found a spare port, then pondered about what to do. The Earth summon had only revealed himself in a secluded area, where no one else was around, so Dihnoro decided to take to the air. He flexed his wings behind his jacket, then sprung them out, startling the nearby passers-by and leaped up into the sky. " Watch it mate!" A scruffy man said, annoyed at the startle the youngster had given him, but Dihnoro was too far away to hear him. The clouds above the winged Astralan were beginning to go from grey to black, and a thick mist was covering all of the sea around him, until it was impossible to see anything but it. Slowly underneath where Dihnoro was hovering, a whirlpool was forming, spinning ever so slightly. Dihnoro wasn't sure what to do, but soon would have his mind made up for him. By the time he looked down to see the whirlpool beneath him, it was too late. Strangely enough it came to life, and grabbed Dihnoro by the foot. It pulled him down to the water until he was faced with a woman. The goddess of water. He was franticly holding his mouth with his hands, desperate for air, but unable to get any: As he looked down a miniature version of the whirlpool was still grasping his foot, not letting him move, as it had an amzingly strong grip for something so small. " You can talk and breath under here Dihnoro, don't worry," The Goddess kindly and calmly spoke. Dihnoro, reacting to this statement, withdrew his hands from his mouth and started to breath normally underwater. He gave a sigh of relief and let go of the panic he had just held up inside him. "My task to you so you can earn my summon Dihnoro, is to perfect your summoning abilities. At the moment you can only summon your gods, but for more practical reasons and so you don't use up all your energy at one time, you will need more smaller and weaker things to help you out. Here's how it will work- I will summon a creature first, and you must counter it with something that can defeat mine. Ready?" She looked him in the eyes and waited for his answer, not doubting her faith in her follower. " As I'll ever be," Dihnoro responded, but unsure if he can actually summon anything apart from gods.
Straila the Goddess started with a basic fighter fish, armed with a pitchfork in one fin. Dihnoro stared at it for a while, then summoned his. Out an armordillo popped, with a few spikes on an extended tail, ready to battle the fish. They began as soon as the mammal was produced, and the fish went straight for the opponent. It tried hard to push it's fork into the back of Dihnoro's summon, but the tough armor that it had been given was not being broken. While the fish still attempted to penetrate the armordillo, the armordillo retracted it's tail, ready for hitting the dim-witted thing. The summon flung the spiked tail straight into the fishes side, wounding it severely, clearly making the armordillo the winner. "Impressive," Straila remarked, liking Dihnoro's choice. The goddess summoned her next one, an electric eel, with a special whip coiled round it's body, with about a meter left hanging at the bottom of the tail. Dihnoro looked shocked, but was ready with his summon. He called upon an ice slamander, similar to the eel but with small limbs at it's side. The match was started, and the eel darted down to a shady spot, covered in seaweed, floating around aimlessly, waiting for it's prey. The salamander followed, and so did the masters, eager to see the outcome of this fight. Taking it's aim, the summon fired out a small blast of ice from it's mouth, heading towards the eel. The eel was quicker however, and dodged the shot, but the after effect of the move caused the whip on the end of the eels' tail to flick straight into the shot. The whip was strong though and the ice held onto it like a frozen ball stuck there. The eel, noticing this, swung it's tail right into the salamander, hitting it head on. The salamander was dazed, but alright. The eel was disappointed, but not about to lower it's guard. It came right up close to the fellow summon, waited until it had come back to it's senses, then zapped it with a force that killed the poor summon. "Well that was a bit ferocious, sorry about that, but a good summon you made none the less, shame about the killing, hehe." She said. " No problem, it doesn't matter," Dihnoro replied, grinning back at her, awaiting her next move. The goddess was ready, and summoned her final monster. A giant sea lord was awoken, roaring none stop. It had the tail of a whale, a golden trident, an arm from an octopus and the head of a shark, as well as the magic of a sea mage. Dihnoro gasped at the site, stunned by awe for a bit, then made his summon. A large sky bird was brought from him, glistening tail feathers ablaze with fire that wasn't put out by water. It wore a crown of silver, that from the top held it's wind might. The bird cawed at the sea lord, and flapped both wings in unison, sparking a few light showers. The battle had begun, as an angry sea lord lunged towards the oversized bird. The bird, curiously enough, was still able to fly underwater, and raised itself above the sea creature. It was Dihnoro's summon's turn now, and batted it's tail at the enemy, releasing numourous fire balls that knocked down the sea lord with force. The sea lord roared yet again, and pointed his trident at the bird. He fired, and out came what looked like nothing, but was infact a water beam, unseen through the sea. It hit the bird with much accuracy, but wasn't that powerful. The bird countered the attack with yet another invisble beam, this one of wind. The beam didn't have time to fully reach the sea lord though, as he blasted his water magic straight back, until two invisible forces were battling against each other. The sea lord may have had the brute strength, but the bird had intelligence, and thought up a plan. It flew above the sea lord and carried on firing it's wind magic, letting it's plan take action. With the extra added force of gravity now acting against the sea lord, the beam was stronger than the water magic. The sea lord now put all his energy into the water force, that he forgot to treadwater to keep his place. He slowly ended up falling down, to where hungry predators lay waiting for food. The busy sea lord was devoured in seconds by the many sea fish, declaring Dihnoro's bird the winner. "Well done Dihnoro, you have mastered the art of summoning, congratulations! Feel free to use them any time!" She stated, raising Dihnoro's spirit. "Thank you Straila, Goddess of water," Dihnoro thanked his goddess formally. " Your welcome dear child, and now for your next clue. ' This force might just be your end, offense is their style, and they don't give up easily. Their terrain is an evolved moutain....'
