This is an old entry that has been saved for old time's sake.
So, Gaia has introduced the new journal feature, yes, yes, it's very fancy and all that jazz, but will I really use it, that is the question.
Well, to the point, what can I say about my amazing life, or at least what have I done this last week. Well I could go into detail about things about swimming in shark infested waters or defending the world against alien attack, but that's all rather boring, so I won't bore you with details. Instead I'll talk about the only real thing I've done this week (apart from school related activities), Animal Crossing.
Yes, I know you Americans have had it for a year and the Japanese for who knows how long, but we Europeans have just gotten it, so pity us.
The game so far is quite absorbing, but school sure does get in the way. Even though there is that difficulty, I have managed to make progress. So I'll talk breifly what I've done this week:
So I got the game on the 24t, which according to the calender is one day after the Sports Day, great start. After some difficulty with choosing a town name that is eight characters or less, I set out on my adventure. OK, this day didn't have many events, since most of it was working for that slave driving Tom Nook, which is basically a tutorial, which I didn't need, since I did read the manual!
I didn't do much today, since I was feeling sleepy, but I did change th town tune to the Song of Healing theme from Majora's Mask. I think it's sounds nice and accurate! For your veiwing pleasure, here's the tune: (not added yet)
Also, I met my fellow residents:
Olivia: The cat who live just down the hill from me. Thinks shes the best thing since sliced bread, well with me around, that's about to change.
Louis: An ape who looks like Donkey Kong and wearing a top with a Luigi L on it. Louis, Luigi, I guess it make sense. Is a bit sporty for my liking. In fact he coned me out of 6000 bells. I still haen't forgiven him!
Lobo: A gumpy wolf. Beleives he is the next Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen with his super funiture sense. I like him, since he nows says Woolioompa.
Tabby: Crazy looking tiger thing. The grin scares me, and apparently she's planning on moving, yet I haven't seen a 'For Sale' sign at her house yet.
Jeremiah: Has a name I can't remember, just look at it, it's strange.. I'm pretty safe with him, sharing two of my favourite activities, sleeping and eating, there's nothing really wrong with him, except his weird eyes.
Mitzi: Another cat, but likes to sleep early, so I sometimes miss her with my late playing. She wants a fish at the moment, I'll see what I can do.
The next day is where I really got down to it. It was this day I decided I'd make some design, since at the current time (and I may add still) I had no good outfits. So what better design to have to strot around in than a Union Jack flag suit, spiffing! And thanks to those sweird horns come out of my charcters head, I look like a British Viking, nice way to show my Englishness and Swedishness!
It was also time to depart to my private island, Doomland Island! Thanks to another design, I added a suitable skull flag to show all passers by to scram. I've desided to use the empty house as a display house for all my outfits. I also got a Mario shirt and a Starman. Doo do do doo doo do do doo!
The normal stuff happened over the next cpuple of days. Got crappy items and new people came to my funk homeland. I think they beleive Cashton is the place money grows. Tough luck, because I've taken it all!
I think it's time to intoduce the rest of my crew:
Purrl: If Olivia wasn't bad enough (though she is slightly better, since she now wera the Union Jack flag outfit.), there is Purrl, her clone. She's also a cat with the same dialogue, oh dear.
Marcy: Sprting kagaroo, with a head stciking out of her pouch which does the exact same expressions as her. Like Purrl, shes a dialogue clone, but she has tekn Tabby's lines.
Ozzie: Talking of Australiens, the newest visitor is Ozzie, a Kawala. I haven't really spoken to him after he offered to buy my T-Rex torso for 2,500 bells. (i) I was going to give this to the museum. (ii) I'm sure Tom Nook sould give me a better deal.
Chuck: I like him, because he likes to buy stuff that I don't want. That's all I use him for.
Emerald: Another frog, but this time is green and with more normal eyes. She buried a Mario statue somewhere, but someone got to it first. Stupid late night playing!
Jay: Another sporting character, but with a good sense of taste. I wish I had a house like his.
The 28th was my first event, the Harvest Moon. Not to be confused with the game with the same name, this is the day when from 6pm-9pm you can see a reflection of the moon at the lake. Nothing special, except you get the moon as an item for your home. Really clever, since your house is far too small for something of that size.
So the game continues. I bothered to pay off my debt of 18,800 of whatever it is to Tom Nook and the next day he turns around and say I have to pay him an extra 100,000 something bells! Lunicy! He just added a few squares to my house and he's charging this! Oh, why Tom, why?
Well I think I've talked about the game enough and I promise I won't waste my journal talking about this game, besides I get Donkey Konga on the 10th October.
