Today was a really motivational day for me. A guy named John came to my school today, and he was a part of a motivational speaking group to kids every where. He really taught me something. He told everyone at the assembly about his life as a kid, being picked on and never helped, it reminded me of me when I was younger. Everyone saying youd never go on to big things in life, never being accepted... It just rang a bell. Then he talked about a girl that gave him a sucide note last year, and how that reminded him about a story he heard about a boy who killed himself, with a note by him saying, "Im tired of the teasing at school. I cant take this anymore.", and that tore him apart. Thats when it started getting to me.
Then another man came up on the stage and told us that because he did drugs before he got his wife pregnate, one of his twin daughters had many problems, a swolen head, small eyes, organs outside of her body, just so many things, because of all those drugs he did. And how his daughter died in his arms, with its first, and last breath. Then it reminded me of my friends, and how some of them do drugs, then it got so hard to stand...
Then the other man came up again, and said not to give up, and all these wonderful things that kinda gave me an uplift. Then he said not to worry about Josh and Cody, and to think about them every day. Thats when I cracked. I cried, for a while at that, remebering all the things he said.
Then he came over to me cause he saw me crying, and I told him about what had been running through my head, and he told me about his life and what he had been through. The he told me to promise him. He said, "Promise me you wont take your life." Thats when everything turned around.
The entire session sorta changed my outlook on life entirely. Everything he said was so, perfectly said, it just... I dont know... But I guess after I met that man...
There might be some hope for me after all.
