Time
I sit here alone,
No one to hear me,
No one to hear my pain.
Pain is just a feeling,
A matter to be reckoned with,
But who cares to see it?
Witness it?
Time heals all wounds they say,
But time is neither here nor there,
Just moments that pass,
Slowly and effortlessly.
I watch the clock...
The seconds click by - one by one...
Until your return,
My time stands still.
Time's ugly task master,
Holding me hostage,
Unable to do anything but wait.
For you shall return,
When that time comes,
It stops again,
For you and me,
To share unbelievable moments,
One's a lifetime can only imagine,
Unstoppable by time.
For those moments are frozen,
Embedded in thy heart and soul.
For now and all eternity...
