Every now and again, I get something that rings in my mind, an echo of a poem or something like that. Here's my current jingle.
Fading memory, drifting on the tide.
Don't mind me, I'm just along for the ride.
Broken heart, slow to heal.
Tell me now, what is real?
Searching the sky, searching the earth,
I've been seeking since my soul's birth.
A match, a mirror, the yang to my yin,
why must love always feel like a sin?
I'm losing my mind, feeling it slip away.
Losing it to dreams of night and of the day.
Sword and sheild
my body to yeild
to the power of your heart.
I don't know where to start.
I want to be with you till time's end,
I want to love you to Grim's send.
But you push me away with a smile on your face
believing my actions are just a friendly grace.
What will you do if I vanish from this world?
Will you realize my true love unfurled?
Or will I fade away on drifing memory tide?
Hold on tight, I'm taking you to my side.
Fly to the sky, sink to the sea,
know that you're the only who with I want to be.
Over the mountain, into the fire,
know that you're my heart's desire.
Stand beside me till my body's cold.
Stand beside me as my life's unfold.
And I will do the same, heart I love.
And together to Heaven we'll ascend on wings of a dove.
