[IC]Yesterday I walked to Barton with Xi to go on a date that we should have gone on the day before. It was nicer yesterday anyway. We started off by walking to town. Xi isn't the most talkative person, so it was a bit akward walking together in silence.

When we got there, the whole city was packed and very busy preparing for a festival of love, Valentines day, as I had read on a sign. Back in Kyaro, we don't have that holiday, but I think the whole thing is a very lovely concept. Xi and I spent most of our time wandering from shop to shop, looking for clothes for me since I wanted to get something different that what I usually wear. I found a few things that looked cute, but it feels fun to wear clothing that's so different. I felt like a different person. I also tried on this very form-fitting red dress, and Xi's jaw fell to the floor! The look was priceless!

Along the way, I saw a beautiful wedding dress and I stopped to admire it, when Xi asked me if I wanted it! I couldn't believe that he would even consider buying something so expensive, especially for someone he doesn't know very well, but we're working on that. wink

Afterwards, we went to a magic stop because he wanted to gather a few things for himself. The shopkeeper there was this creepy old man who had the ability to sense any ability that a person has. It was weird. The whole place was weird. I saw some jarred creatures on the shelf. I think they are ingredients for potions, but there was this two-headed pig fetus that especially sent chills up my spine. I also spotted a jar full of Gryphon talons and a few gryphon feathers bundled together. It upsetted me that this store kept parts like that; probably provided from some sort of poacher. Ash's mom was shot down by a poacher....

We ended the day by walking back, but before we did, Xi bought me one of those pretty desserts, a chocolate ice cream with friuts and sweets in them. I was so good! I look forward to having it again next time we're in barton, which is today, actually.

Well, I'd better end this and get ready.
