Meetings- Part 3 *rose*
mysterious POV

It felt like an earthquake, but she knew the ground was not moving. Holding her head tightly, she took a few calming breaths. This is what happened the last time, as well. She knew what she had done to help them was not permanent, but she had hoped it was all the time they had needed. Apparently not.

With her head in splitting pain but finding herself able to meditate past it, she created a black portal two steps in front of her. She spoke to herself, as if half expecting to be heard by someone.

"I would have kept my promise. And I did what I could. But you... you are not even alive yourself now, are you? If we could ever have been called alive. I can do no one any more harm, and I owe no one. Not anymore." she sighed.

"But I can help, I think. And that... that would at least be something."

She stepped through the portal...

Room 35 B; Experimental Magical Healing in Progress

Rose, taken out of stasis in order to be worked on, was lying on a cool marble slab table in the middle of the room. With Healers surrounding her in the room, it had been sealed off. Taran growled at himself for not managing to get in as he hid out in the hall.

Rose was surrounded by a bright red glow, as the Healers, under Iry's guidance, tried to remove the forehead gem from Rose with their magics. It had been sealed as part of her when she was a young baby, Iry had supposed, in order to prevent her from harming herself and others. But by a cruel twist of fate, demon relatives had indeed corrupted the magic of the gem, and isolated her demon part on the outside, rather than safely hidden away, while her angel, fairy and fox bloods were trapped.

But as they worked to remove the gem, they were doing more damage than they realized. Many of the Healers, including Iry, crossed over into magical auras, and were surprised at what they saw.

There was not just one torn girl before them, but two almost seperate girls. Linked, but fighting against working with each other. Fighting against the Healing.

The Healers continued and even doubled their efforts to remove the gem, certain that its magics were irreversably damaged. Minutes ticked by ever so slowly, and Iry looked at the image of the two girls pulling at each other.

"This is not enough." Iry told the Healers. "We will have to use Arcana UnRaveling Magic, as well."

The other Healers had discussed the possibility of having to do so, but none had been convinced it would be necessary. But by now, they agreed.

Chanting, the aura around Rose changed from red to a bright purple, and darkened slowly into a sickly almost brown color. All of the Healers attending in the aura-spirit gasped. The vision of the tugging sides of Rose was replaced with deeper-bound opposites. They had not forseen this at all.

Many of the Healers could not see this image. Their only insight that something was going terribly wrong was the faces of those Healers who could see the battling mentalities of Rose. And those Healers, including Iry, were starting to think they were in over their heads. Rose's life signs began to plummet.

Then, just behind Rose in the center of the room, a black spherical portal opened. A girl stepped out tentatively, seeming to feel around with her feet for a moment. Stunned, mostly because they had thought they had sealed off the room, all the Healers watched as she placed a finger to her lips, as if to silence them. The black portal closed behind her silently. Then she approached Rose, and leaned over. As the green jewel on her forehead touched the red one on Rose's, the Healers watching the aura of Rose saw the new woman step into the aura, in between the two Roses.

Looking at the new girl, both the Roses (Rose and blue, as they had known themselves) reached out and grabbed one of her hands, as they had done the last time they had seen the woman. Smiling, as if calmed, both Rose and blue reached out and held hands with their other hand.

At that moment, a brilliant flash blinded all the Healers in the room, and it took a few moments for them each to regain their sight. When they did, they were surprised to see Rose, sitting up, smiling at the woman in front of her. The woman, whose expression had always seemed... off... looked at Rose, and yet, past her. But she, too, wore a smile. Rose was quite herself again. Finally. And maybe moreso than she ever had been in her life.

It's called being observant, Miss. However, I'm not stupid. I've seen blind people who have killed more people than any man could that can see. I just hope I'm not overestimating your power.
