Resting Quarters *rose*
An hour or two after her Healing, Rose sat on top of the bed in the quarters she'd been assigned, and watched the last of the Healer fairies leave. She had been fussed over for the entire two hours, and her cheeks hurt from smiling too much, trying to convince them she was fine, would be fine, and they were right- she needed rest.

Taran watched the door close after the last fairy had finally flown out the door, and looked around one more time. ANTIE-D was there, looking up information on upgrades for the Dragonfly, and Niko and the gwees were hanging around. It was a cozy place; part of the Consolate Hall, actually, as they were to be guests of the Queen for the remainder of their stay. Though, none of them had met the queen, and that was fine with them.

Rose flopped back onto the bed and laughed. For the first time in what seemed way too long, she laughed. Free to be herself, after almost 20 years of being not quite whole, she saw the world almost in a new light. She knew her parents reasons for binding her with her gem, but she was glad that was over with. She had always felt as if she should have been more... something. And now she was. It was great!

Taran raised one eyebrow, and watched Rose giggle so long her face was flushed. He was glad she was all right, but he wanted to know what had happened with that strange woman, and what she had said to Rose before leaving. He also wanted, more than before, to know more about Rose. So he waited, and watched.

Heaving a great sigh, Rose flopped over onto her belly, and looked at ANTIE-D.

"Found anything helpful?" she asked teasingly.

"Not as much as I had hoped." ANTIE-D responded, serious as usual.

"So. Still gonna need a ride home, aren't we?" Rose asked, looking over at ANTIE-D and Taran, and swinging her legs in the air nonchalantly.

"Yes. That would be for the best." ANTIE-D responded.

The responive squeel from Rose was not what ANTIE-D or Taran had expected.

"I getta go flyin' with Draaaagon! I getta go flyin' with Draaaaagon!" Rose sang as she hopped off the bed and started gathering her belongings. She didn't want to stay long. Not after all this. And not with what she knew now.

Taran and ANTIE-D looked at each other, and they both shook their heads. ANTIE-D knew Rose was back, as good as ever, and Taran was still surprised at the youthfulness and innocence that oozed out from her.

ANTIE-D sent a message to Nissa, requesting permission to board as soon as possible, noting that, while not fleeing, they were still leaving in more of a hurry than the fairies might have otherwise anticipated... or liked. Not for the first time, ANTIE-D regretted not being able to read Rose's mind. Why leave right now? She needed rest. Not that she couldn't rest on the Altsoba, but... this was more... supervised. ANTIE-D shook her head again.

She's very fast...but nothing compared to what Shalimar did.

Sometimes I'm glad Rose is not a dragon.
No offense, Dragon.
